Question 1

Do these work on x boxone x

Accepted Answer

It will but with most wireless headsets it will only work with xbox when wired unless it states wireless supported through a base or mixamp. Hope this helps

Question 2

What are the 840 like with ps4 as that's my primary gaming machine. Or should I got for astro a50

Accepted Answer

The 840 are good on PC, I have not used them on PS4 yet so I personally can't say. I would recommend you go for the Astro A50 solely on the reviews of my friends.

Question 3

Why use wired connection for gaming if the headset has wireless Bluetooth?

Accepted Answer

Bluetooth is a convenient wireless technology for streaming audio from a mobile device and for communications, but it isn’t ideal for gaming. Latency can be rather long, which means you will always hear your audio slightly later than you see the visuals on screen. Also, when using chat functionality Bluetooth limits the frequency range available, so audio loses some fidelity. Having wired audio for gaming ensures zero latency and maximum sound quality. Bottom line: wired game audio and Bluetooth chat is an ideal setup for a variety of platforms.

Question 4

Can i use a wireless steelseries headset (siberia 800, siberia 840, arctis 7) with nintendo switch?

Accepted Answer

The Nintendo Switch has two main play modes: console mode when docked, and mobile when the screen is removed from the dock. When in mobile mode the only audio connectivity is via the Switch's 3.5mm headset jack, which means that wireless headsets cannot be used. Note: All Arctis headsets as well as Siberia 800 & 840 can be used with the Switch in mobile mode, connected via the supplied 3.5mm cable.

In docked console mode Siberia 800, Siberia 840 and Arctis 7 can be used fully wireless.
