Ginger & Garlic Mix Paste Sapna 1kg

I bought these as i make a lot of British Indian Restaurant (BIR) style curries at home - So the little jars at supermarkets dont last very long - i use a lot of this stuff in my cooking. It imparts the perfect blend of Ginger and Garlic giving a pungent based to build upon. At 1Kg it offers really great value for money and as a premade paste its ease of use is right up there. I tend to pour it into a mixing bowl and add 1-2 fresh green chillis and a small bunch of fresh coriander, before blending it all and pouring back into the jar. Its a great little hack to get more flavour into your food, but to be honest it does taste great on its own in dishes. Recommended purchase for anyone fans of indian cuisine who cook a fair bit of their own dishes.

I have used this brand for years now, its appears to have one of the highest ginger to garlic ratios in these pastes and lower vinegar content than some others. The flavours are excellent with no nasty aftertaste and as a preserved ginger/garlic paste I think it's one of the best. Well worth a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.

The paste is of great quality, and it’s a bang for a buck! One thing which I would have given 5star is about the mix itself! Could have been grinned even more for a paste consistency. Don’t get me wrong It tastes the great in cooking but the garlics are not finely grinned (maybe this batch which I got is not properly grinned). Overall its a great product, would definitely buy it again, hopefully the next batch is properly grinned! You can absolutely go for it! Hope this helps!

I use a garlic/ginger mix for many recipes and the ones sold in my usual supermarket are super tiny. This jar lasts for ages and I feel is good value for money. It saves me from having to prepare both garlic and ginger (such a pain) but adds a great taste to every Indian/Thai/whatever dish. Definately worth a purchase which I have done several times now.
