Can you reverse the rotation?

Due to the direction that the nuts turn to tighten (right hand thread on right, left hand thread on left) it would not necessarily be a great idea to be able to reverse the direction of the motor for safety reasons.. The nuts could come loose. If you have to use it with the rotation away from you for some reason I would turn it around as others have suggested or mount it such that you can approach it from behind.

Does anyone know how many times someone will ask the same question? Like, what's the arbor/shaft size?

The shaft to the tip of the threads is 4-1/2" and the diameter is 1/2". It will accomodate buffer wheels from less than 1/2" to 3" thick with the included multiple length spacers on the arbor shaft.

It is made in Taiwan. Runs nice.

What are the rpm's from low to high speed. I need something in the 1000 to 1200 rpm.

This buffer is variable speed, from 0 up to 3400 I think. I usually use it around 1800 but will go as low as 900 at times. I use it for buffing knives. Great buffer, I got it because of the speed control.
