The Gro Company Gro-Clock Sleep Trainer

Great item. Works with the simple plug adapter. I'm from the UK so I am used to using U.K. Products in the US, & this works better than any I have had in the past. Quite bright but that can be fixed by placing in the floor or what I eventually did was bought adherable tinted opaque plastic and applied it to the face. That's just because I am still in the same room as my toddler though (almost transitioned out!). Perfect sleep training clock. My son (2) loves it & understands what it is after just a couple of days.

my kids used to wake up way to early. when I got this, they knew to close their eyes and go back to sleep till the sun came on. Once they got a bit older, they started to cheat and push the button to wake up the sun, but for 3-4 year old kids works great

Easy to use, keeps time well, provides the right amount of night lighting. Doesn't necessarily make my child sleep longer, but easier for her to understand why we're not getting up to play at 5am. The story book that comes with it is very cute, too.

Awesome sleep clock! You do have to buy an adapter if using in USA, but that will only put you back like $6 and this clock is well worth it! Setting the time is a little tricky. I couldn't figure it out until I finally broke down and read the directions. The directions were very clear and easy to follow. The book that comes with the clock is perfect. My 3 year old relates to the pig and it has helped our discussions about staying in bed- which is improving! Before this clock we tried the matching numbers on a normal clock trick and the lighted belly hedgehog. Both unsuccessful. He loves his hedgehog and its night night song and wake up song; but it sucks through batteries and often stops working in the middle of the night which is frustrating for everyone. This clock is much more consistent. I love how the stars count down too!

My son is still too young to fully comprehend what it's for but we like to say goodnight to the sun and hello to the stars

We used and loved this for our son until the screen started to no longer display any graphics. It still shows the change of color but the graphics stopped working. At the time, this was a $49 purchase. Not worth the money if it doesn't continue to work properly for long.

Almost all clocks follow a very simple method for adjusting the time or changing settings. This is not at all intuitive. Call me picky but I should not have to read an entire booklet just to set the time. Second, this clock is very hard to read unless you’re looking at it straight on. You can’t have it adjusted to the side or the digital numbers and stars fade, making it very hard to read. Third, even the most dim setting is too bright. Forget putting this on a nightstand next to the bed. And even if you ignore all the practical problems, it just plain looks ugly. I am so tired of forking out a lot for garbage.

This is a great little clock which comes with an awesome bedtime story which made my daughter fall in love with the clock and a few days later she started waking up at the right time. I must say it is a good purchase considering it does exactly what it is suppose to do. Cheers to the company.

Daughter rejected it off the bat and refused to have it in her room. I know other people swear by it but it was a total flop for us. We paid so much money for it and we’re hoping it would get us some extra sleep. Daughter Is 3

Utilissimo e consigliatissimo. C'è da fare attenzione solo alla spina che è quella per gli UK, ci vuole quindi l'adattatore.

Un réveil au design sympathique, joli, tout en rondeurs, qui affiche des images et des petites animations sympathiques sur son écran lumineux. Le jour, ce réveil affiche un soleil radieux et il émet une lumière jaune. La nuit ce réveil affiche une grosse étoile qui dort, entourée de 12 petites étoiles. Les petites étoiles vont disparaître une à une jusqu'au petit matin, jusqu'à l'heure de réveil que vous avez réglée, ou l'étoile va faire place au soleil à nouveau, indiquant à l'enfant qu'il peut se lever. On peut programmer deux heures de lever distinctes: une pour le matin, l'autre pour la sieste. On peu lui faire afficher une horloge digitale (on peut aussi la faire disparaître pour les plus petits qui ne savent pas lire les nombres). On peut faire sonner ce réveil, et on peut éventuellement le faire à une heure différente de l'animation "lever de soleil". Je fais lever les soleil à 7h15 dans le réveil, mais je fais sonner son réveil à 7h40 pour aller à l'école (entre les deux, le soleil lui indique qu'elle peut se lever ... mais si elle dort encore, ça ne la réveille pas). La luminosité est réglable, et il est assez lumineux pour servir de veilleuse si on le souhaite. Il fonctionne sur secteur et vient de Grande Bretagne, il faut donc prévoir un adaptateur prise anglaise / prise française pour le faire fonctionner (quelques euros seulement dans n'importe quel supermarché). Ce réveil vient avec un livre de conte complémentaire "Sleepy Farm" ("La Ferme Endormie") assez bien fait, qui capte l'attention des enfants et qui explique pourquoi il faut dormir à la bonne période et se lever à la bonne heure. Ce livre est en Anglais, mais dans un Anglais assez simple. Au début, je faisais de la "traduction simultanée" pour ma fille, maintenant, il m'arrive aussi de le lui lire directement en anglais puisque je suis en train d'essayer de lui apprendre cette langue. Les menus sont facile à programmer, malgré une ou deux erreurs de jeunesse concernant l'ergonomie. Je suis sûr qu'ils vont améliorer une ou deux choses dans leurs menus de programmation dans les prochaines versions. J'aurais aimé avoir une horloge avec des aiguilles aussi (pour apprendre à lire l'heure à ma fille). Là, c'est seulement une horloge digitale (et de jolies animations). Ce réveil m'a fait gagner des heures de sommeil: il est très facile d'expliquer aux enfants qu'on ne se lève que quand le soleil se lève, et de compter les étoiles qui restent pour savoir si ils sont au début de la nuit, au milieu de la nuit, ou proches de l'heure du lever. Bref, en résumé: j'adore cet article et je le recommande.
