The Network Cable Untwist Tool turned out to be surprisingly useful for straightening jewelry wires and pin heads! While it’s designed for untwisting network cables, the tool’s strong, ergonomic grip and precise functionality made it perfect for untangling and straightening fine jewelry wires. I was able to easily remove any twists and kinks in the wire, giving me smoother, more professional-looking pieces for my jewelry projects. It’s sturdy enough to handle the pressure needed without damaging delicate wires. I also found it to be very comfortable to use, even for extended periods. The compact design makes it easy to store, and it’s lightweight, so I didn’t feel fatigued while using it. Overall, while it’s intended for cable work, this tool has proven to be a handy and unexpected addition to my jewelry-making toolkit, and I’ll definitely continue using it for future wire and pin head straightening tasks.

I tried to untwist and straighten some Cat6 with this ‘tool’. I am a professional AV engineer with much experience with this type of cable. This tool wouldn’t even adequately grip the cable wires, let alone untwist, or straighten properly once I had manually untwisted by hand.

it works, but not great. you have to be really careful on where you place the wire between the "dots" in between, or it will scrap and shred the insulation. i'm gonna go back to squeezing the piece of outer sheath and pulling. that works consistantly and safely, and you have an unlimited supply of them.

I don't have the iron fingers of a pro, this made my DIY wiring so much easier, faster, and consistent. I wish I had found these sooner, it would have saved so much time and frustration. No more grooves worn in my fingers.

Cute little device that helps but is not a magic cure. Let me be honest, I think the problem with threading cat5/cat6 wires into a connector may be beyond our current level of sapience. However, this little gadget does help straighten out the wires a little bit. I've tried several different angles and I find that it probably helps about 85%. But there are still one or two laggard wires that are difficult to straighten. I don't regret the expenditure because it does help me straighten out the wires after you remove the twists from each pair, but it does not completely solve the issue of wire alignment. I think that problem lies in the connector.... But I don't regret the decision and it certainly was a good value. Also, I like the fact that I have three of them so I can keep one on hand in multiple locations
