It didn’t make them brand new, but it worked far better than bleach ever has. I’ve used bleach my whole life because that’s what I grew up with. I like the smell of freshly bleached whites, but I’ve always hated the results, shirts slowly turn cream-colored, deodorant areas darken, and body oils go from invisible to grey and hazy. Instead of throwing more shirts away, I tried OxiClean White Revive on a recommendation. I soaked a mix of newer and older white t-shirts in a storage tote with warm water and about half a scoop for roughly 8 hours, keeping everything fully submerged. After soaking, I washed them on a whites cycle with a Tide pod and air-dried overnight. The results were obvious. Newer shirts looked clean again, and the older ones showed a major reduction in deodorant buildup. Bleach has never improved those stains for me — this actually did. I won’t soak every load, but when whites start to discolor, this is what I use now. Bleach is staying in the cleaning closet.

This stuff is my secret weapon with my whites. My husband always wears white shirts but he works hard so they get very dirty. My two young children also play hard and their clothes get dirty. We also have hard water so our whites always end up yellow and dingy looking after a while. I came across this product a year ago and have never looked back. Between my husband and children I use a lot of this product so I always get the 5lb tub. I wish there was an even larger sized tub - I'd buy it for sure! This product is not only great on whites! I safely use it on all colors to release stains (this is noted as permissible on the packaging). For tougher stains or when I'm washing whites I let them soak in this overnight before washing. For lighter soiled items that still need something more than just detergent I throw a scoop of this in the wash load and they come out ultra clean. This product works extremely well, in my opinion, and releases dirt like magic! I'm also shocked by how dirty the water gets when I use this product - it pulls the dirt right out! It does have a very strong scent that I don't particularly love but I am also sensitive to and picky about smells. I feel like the scent of this product wouldn't overwhelm or bother you if you're used to using any type of traditional laundry detergent. It does not bother my husband or children. Speaking of laundry detergent, you still need to use it! This is a laundry BOOSTER and not a laundry detergent. Overall, I highly recommend this product if you are struggling to get your laundry as clean as you'd like.

There’s no overpowering chemical cloud taking over the laundry room, and I didn’t notice damage or weakening on fabrics after multiple uses. It works well both as an in-wash booster and as a soak for tougher stains or dingy whites that need extra attention. The stain removal performance is pretty good too. Sweat stains, light food spots, and general discoloration lifted better than expected, especially with warm water and a longer soak. White socks in particular seemed to benefit the most. They went from “why are these beige now?” back to looking much cleaner. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because heavily stained items still need extra effort. Deep yellowing or old set-in stains may require multiple treatments, and some fabrics don’t brighten as dramatically as others. It also works best when paired with a good detergent rather than completely replacing one. Another small downside is the powder can sometimes clump a little if moisture gets into the container, so keeping the lid sealed tightly is important unless you want to battle laundry gravel later. This thing works like magic on white clothes. You know those nasty, dark spots you get on white shirts in the armpit area? Due to excessive sweat, oils, deodorant, etc? It completely came off when I used this product! My husband’s white shirts were getting ruined from the armpit area. The armpit area was dark and just ugly. I asked ChatGPT what was something safe to use on white clothes that would remove the buildup from the armpit. Keep in mind the buildup and discoloration has been there for a good while. ChatGPT recommended me this. I bought it Friday. ChatGPT recommended for me to make some into a paste first, use a toothbrush and rub it in the armpit area. Add a little water to the area after I scrubbed it in so it can stay moist, fold the shirts and put them in a bag. Leave it overnight. The next morning, combine warm water with the oxiclean and let the shirts sit in it for 1-3 hours then wash them in the washer machine like normal. Do NOT dry them in the dryer the first time. Let them air dry first. It worked like magic! The armpit area from his shirts are completely new and white! I should have taken a before and after picture to show you all. But if you’re looking for something to get those nasty stains out of white shirts, I recommend this product wholeheartedly. And it also revives the color in them too. I love this product and doesn’t bleach or ruin your white clothes. Side note: if you have cuts on your fingers, be careful using the product because it will burn your cuts.

This is by far one of the best laundry items that one should own. I had some rather dingy nightwear, so I bought this product and now they are bright, almost as good as new. Of course, with age they have faded, but they still look much newer than they did before I used the OxiClean white revive. I will never use bleach again.

This is a great product to use in your laundry. It is powerful and it works well. You can see the difference in the clothes when you use. The smell is not overwhelming and it does not burn your eyes. This product is easy to use.

I tracked this product down after trying to find out the best way to get whites white. I tried vinegar, vinegar baking soda and lemon juice. Vinegar works reasonably well on the stains, but the Oxy clean is the clear winner. Took the yellow sweat stains out of pillowcases and pillowcase protectors and sheets, duvet covers and mattress protectors all came up white. Some washes required more than the level of two on the scoop. Excellent product.
