GREAT mount!
I really WANTED our 82" TV mounted over the fireplace. But I hated the thought of doing it. Several aspects of the project were, for me, "challenging". The builders who built out our lower level did not own a square or a level and would not have known what to do with either. The brick replaced architectural stone in the fireplace. So we scoped behind the brick and could not find any supporting structure (wall, studs, ties to the main fireplace, etc). So we decided to build a "wall" supported by the mantle and anchored to the ceiling studs with lag bolts. The specs for the TV show it weighs 98.5 lbs. To be sure about the support, we added two 2 x 10s (photo) in the wall where the bracket would mount. We used the supplied lag bolts to mount it to the finished wall. Bolting the mount to the wall was as easy as drilling the 7/32nd holes into the supporting 2 x 10s leveling it and bolting it up. It was no surprise it was 1/16th" off level drilling holes like that into material like that. Mounting the brackets onto the back of the TV was almost as easy - and hence only 4 stars. The supplied bolts were a tad long. A washer on each bolt took up the slack nicely. The TV is Samsung 82" Class NU8000 Premium Smart 4K UHD TV. I either overlooked it or it never occurred to us to level the mounts on the back of the TV before we hoisted it up onto the wall. More later on this. The ledge where the two brackets engaged was above eye level with a brick hearth to make the job of hoisting it onto the wall a little harder. We used two men to lift and one, on a ladder in the center, to help as well as ensure the TV did not tilt too far in any direction. It went right onto the wall bracket. AND, once it was up there, sliding it a tad left or right to center it was very easy. Surprising for what I thought was a pretty large TV that was a little heavy. When we put a level on it we were pretty disappointed. We expected from mounting the wall bracket it was not going to be perfect. But on the wall it was about 1/4" off level. Then we discovered the leveling adjustments! Since the TV-side brackets hinged out we had enough room, barely, to access these. However, if we'd relied on the supplied allen key to adjust them we'd still be making the adjustment. An allen stock bit in a ratchet made the job manageable. AND, we were able to get the bubble in the level perfectly in the center. I think part of MY problem was the whole bracket seemed so simple and straight forward I did not read the instructions as thoroughly as I should. I MAY have saved some angst. At the end of the day, mounting the bracket to both the TV and wall was dead easy. Getting the TV on the wall was only difficult because of the size, weight and height on the wall. The two bracket components aligned and engaged easily. Adjusting the mount was easier with extra tools. In fairness, I would not expect Echogear to include a ratchet, but the allen bit would have been nice. Echogear did a very nice job of packaging the mount, instructions and hardware. The instructions were PRINTED, not something I had to download or read online. THANK you! The hardware was packaged in clear plastic pouches strung together. We rolled out the hardware so we were able to see what was in each pouch making the parts very easy to inventory and find as we worked. NICE! Echogear also included a very nice template printed on sturdy, but not stiff (good thing) cardboard with instructions printed right on it. Again, NICELY done. Conclusion - Honestly, I was a little worried it would support the TV given it's size and weight. That just was not a problem - at all. It is more than capable. By the way, moving the big TV around on the mount after it was up and secured was also very easy. AND, it is very sturdy. It does not move around like the size or weight are a problem - at all. Echogear did an outstanding job of making this an easy DIY project. If you're thinking about wall mounting a TV, THIS is the mount and Echogear did a great job with the design and making the job as easy as possible. When their ad read: "Ideal for Mounting A 40"-85" TV Above A Fireplace." they were NOT kidding. Very highly recommended product and company. Would encourage anyone to purchase.

Rave-Worthy Mount, Perfect for 65" LG OLED
I don't go out of my way to review many products, but this Echogear mount deserves all the hype and credit. After spending a good chunk of cash on a new 65" LG OLED65CXPUA, I wanted to ensure the mount I got was a quality build, easy to install, and good value. This one definitely checked all those boxes. I've had other mounts where the bracket attached to the wall is comprised of separate pieces of flimsy metal - not this one, the mounting bracket is one solid piece of sturdy metal and plenty wide for placing between studs. The true genius of this design though is the ability to level your tv after you have committed to drilling holes in the wall and mounting your tv. The adjustments for perfect leveling are easily done with the included tool and if you are organized and ready, you can probably finish a install with the help of a friend within 15-30 minutes. The extension and tilting action are smooth and steady making access to cables or finding a good viewing angle a breeze. And Echogear goes way out of their way to make the product experience enjoyable from quality packaging, humor-packed instructions, and a variety of hardware to ensure the mount is compatible with your tv. With all that said, I'm actually kind of stunned at the reasonable price of this product as there are many lesser-made mounts at this price point or higher. Couldn't be more pleased!

It doesn't lay completely flat if that's what you're looking for, but it's still a great mount.
It's really easy to put up and it seems very sturdy so far. We have a 75 inch TV on it. It also has the perfect tilt. We've had full motion mounts for every tv we've had and wanted to do the flat look this time. Only thing is, is it doesn't lay completely flat.

REALLY well made + well thought through = VERY happy.
I love the "tone" of this brand. Really friendly and fun. And on top of it, as I mentioned in the headline, the product is very sturdy, very stable, very well thought through, and it just works VERY well! I have a 65” TV mounted to it. I am able to easily (literally with one gentle hand) swing it from side to side, I'm able to easily adjust the tilt. The leveling ability (after you've hung the TV) is really good - although if you plan carefully enough you're not likely to need it. (I'm a little bit OCD and so all I needed was one full turn of the Allen key so that the bubble in my spirit level is EXACTLY dead center). I literally cannot think of one bad thing to say. One caution I will mentioned is FIRST buy yout TV, and see where the bracket will fir on your TV. ON modern flatscreens, the mounting positions are often situated in the lower half of the TV, and not centered (top to bottom). Why is this noteworthy? Because if you’ve pre-planned what height you want your TV on the wall, you might end up changing the height of you mount, to accommodate the position of the mount holes. I mounted mine to a horizontal wood beam that serves as a sort of a mantle above a disused fireplace, so my mount height was determined for me, but you can see how the height of the mounting points on the back of my TV affected my placement.

Seems fine, but not a great match for my Samsung S95C
I got this to hang my new Samsung 65" S95C TV (High rated OLED.) It's a nice system and it works fine. It's MUCH less thick and sturdy than my old plasma mount (from Chief in Minneapolis) but the TV is much lighter. This mount seems more than adequate. The wall bracket was easy to mount, as I was able to use two of the old mounting holes. Drilled two new ones. Hanging the TV was likewise fairly easy - a two man job for sure - and the mechanism resembles a french cleat. The TV part of the system hooks onto a rail that allows for easy horizontal positioning just by sliding left or right before tightening the security screws. Vertical positioning depends on how you mount the TV brackets. That's where I discovered the Samsung has a design flaw, IMHO. The cable (which carries both power and all signals to a separate box) exits the back of the TV and points directly at the nearby bracket. Why didn't they point it down?! Anyway, mounting the bracket is made more difficult than it should be because of this. These brackets have a tilt mechanism that happens to point right at the Samsung's cable port. It all works out and I'm completely satisfied with it, but if you have a similar TV it might be worth looking at other options.

Great Mount with Superb Functionality at a Great Price
I recently purchased an LG C4 77-inch TV, and finding the right mount was quite a challenge. With the TV's size, my viewing distance, the mounting height, and the need for easy access to wires behind the TV—plus accommodating a soundbar—it felt like an endless battle trying out different combinations. Disappointingly, even some of the $300+ mounts didn't meet my needs. Then I discovered this mount, and it was a game-changer! The wall plate is sleek and easily fits below the plug sockets, allowing for a lower mount height (check out the photo). The extension arm makes accessing the wires a breeze, which is a huge plus. The instructions were incredibly clear, and I appreciated that this mount came with the 35mm mounting screws included. What I love most is the overall flexibility this mount offers, all at a nominal price. For anyone looking to mount an LG 77-inch TV along with an LG soundbar, I highly recommend pairing this mount with the ELIVED Soundbar bracket (the longer version)—it's the ultimate combo! The only minor drawback is that I wish the mounting arms were a bit longer to allow for more height adjustments. In the photo, you can see the lowest position possible. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this mount and would highly recommend it to anyone in a similar situation!

Excellent mount
When you read Amazon reviews these days you never know how much trust you can place in them even with good fakespot scores. However this mount definitely lives up to its high ratings and I'd buy another in a heartbeat. The instructions are clear, simple, and funny. The mount itself is solid and very versatile in it's viewing configurations not to mention being a great value for the money. I have a 77" LG oleg on it and I couldn't be happier with that combo.

Great Product
This was exactly what I was looking for. I ordered two of these mounts. One was for a 55" TV in the bedroom and the other was for a 65" above the fireplace. Installation could not have been easier. I should mention that both of my installations were into wood studs. The kit came with all necessary screws and bolts. In fact, there were a number of different screw widths and lengths to account for different TV's. There are a few basic tools that you will need to have on hand including a drill, drill bit, level, stud finder, tape measure, and socket wrench. Honestly the part that took the longest was measuring to make sure the TV was at the correct height. From there the included template made it easy to ensure that bolts were aligned property in the studs. Attaching the brackets to the TV was easy (just be sure to look closely at the picture to make sure you have the brackets on the correct sides). Hanging the TV on the bracket was straight forward but make sure that you have someone else to help you. Fine adjustments left or right was easy once the TV was up. The tilt feature is great especially for the TV above the fireplace. I would highly recommend this product given the quality of materials, quality of instructions, and the price.
