Mandatory reading

Only about ~550 pages in it. Loved going through the algebraic and conceptual proofs of the drivers behind multiples. Have found numerous arithmetic errors in the text, hence, I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5.

Damodaran an NYU professor I have followed for many years compiles the many valuation methods, considerations and follies associated with the distinct valuation methods therein. Any practitioner -or aspiring investor - should have this on their bookshelf. Goes through run of the mill valuations to special methods like the residual income valuation method and addresses how each should be deployed in complex situations.

(before I rate the book, this seller is looting people, the MRP of this book is INR 900) I started my journey with this book last year. First thing I realized is that I need to brush up on my corporate finance knowledge first a little bit before I can do justice with this book. So I studied copr finance BMA and took a short course as well. After the course I restarted this book and wow!!! This is possibly the only and definitely the best and most comprehensive text book on the subject of valuation. The best part is Professor Aswath Damodaran's openessness and mission to teach this subject. So you will find so much supporting material that will help you immensely. You can find videos, hundreds of excel sheets, solutions and so much more. I want to thank Professor Damodaran for the book and everything else. This makes it possible for so many like me to learn and understand the art and science of valuations on our own.

Ich habe noch nie wirklich mit Investment Valuation auseinander gesetzt. Da hat mir das Buch sehr zum Verständnis zu dem in der Vorlesung vermittelten Stoffes beigetragen. Die angeführten Beispiele sind sehr ausführlich und gut verständlich. Und selbst die englische Sprache hat mich als nicht englisch-affiner Mensch nicht gestört.
