Without any pressure. Just snapped right in the middle . It was good until it lasted. What a waste of money. 3 stars for those light it is and the price. Also liked that it was photochromatic and progressive so I could drive with it since I only need a reader. but so disappointed that it just snapped out of the blue .. Review: Not a good product - I would not recommend this product. They do not darken very much in direct sunlight and the lens seems rounded and uneven.

Lens great, temples snap. Sad. Alternate temples, for those inclined for a challenge.
The lens, photochromic transition, while not thousand dollar high-end optics works pretty darn well; the rim is metal, the hinges are good. The bummer is the temples are junk. There’s no wire in the temple and the plastic is cheap. Very thin. I’ve broken two pair. Just snapped in my pocket .. bit pricey to be with such junk temples.. too bad they could be great. If you wanna take the time to put on different temples, that works, but that’s kind of ridiculous. Edit: Okay, so here's great temples that have 1.2mm hinge stem, plus a micro tiny washer that actually fit & mate up to these lenses. Big purchase $7. Hey, it works .. not a pair of Nikon transitions, but pretty great for $30. And yeah, it needs the washer that 10 thous thick, and smaller than a BB.
