My machine has 5kg increments so a 2.5lb and 5lb weight are just right for adding 3 intermediate increments (small weight, large weight, both weights). The actual increments are very slightly different to what you would get with a 1.25kg and 2.5kg weight, but close enough

My multi-gym stack increases by 10 lb weights. This 5 lb weight is ideal for progressing in easier stages and sits nicely on top of the stack. It is easily added or removed. In my view the multi-gym should have included one instead of the single 8 lb weight that it came with. The service from the Dutch company NRG FITNESS BV was excellent. Ordered on a Saturday evening and delivered on the following Wednesday morning. Highly recommended.

They fit on standard weight machines. They make a significant difference when you are using few plates and 1 level is too easy but the next is too hard. Without these I was finding I couldn't really improve.
