Buy this if you have a newer Volkswagen. I have a 2020 VW Jetta SEL and if you know what that is or if you have one, you know that you run into a stupid problem at least once a year that requires bringing it to a shop who will charge you well over a grand to fix. My cruise control completely stopped working along with other things connected to a sensor behind the grille. Nothing was wrong with the sensor, I was just driving and it shut down on me completely. I was quoted about $1200 to have this fixed. Instead I bought this scanner and I paid $5 inside the app to recalibrate my cruise control. Within 5 seconds, it was fixed, it works, and all the lights on the dash disappeared. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR VW CARS

This subscription based. I purchased the middle tier - Pro. That's only good for 12 months. The renewal is over $70/yr plus you need to purchase credits to use the one-click features. For example, every time u want to reset the oil monitor with the one-click feature, it costs $2.79 EACH time. I needed Grox (AI) just to understand the screens. Zero on screen help. I'm not an automotive mechanic but I've worked on my own vehicles for 40 yrs. There's no option to pay a one time fee. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to use the ODB-eleven as soon as I received it so the 30 days return window closed so im stuck with it. I plan to buy the Ross-Tech VCDS for $200 which covers 3 vehicles. No subscription. On the plus side, I did get all the information I needed but it was not easy.

Great for DYI mechanic. Clear faults, chase down issues, clear those pesky codes. Thought I had an airbag issue- turned out a malfunctioning rear abs speed sensor was causing most of my issues. 2017 VE Jetta SEL

Purchased this in order to change the brakes and rotors on my daughter’s Audi. Was easy to use and navigate. I purchased the pro pack that had credits already. Took a star off because I think it’s ridiculous that you have to buy credits to actually use this after paying almost $200 for the device.

Easily worth the price of admission in comparison to having to take your car to the dealership or even a third party mechanic. Anyone complaining about the price is probably delusional to begin with. My 2018 Audi Q7 had a malfunctioning left side indicator (very common issue) in the headlight module and whenever the lights turned on a fault appeared in the instrument cluster. Very annoying indeed. Using this scanner, I was able to turn the side indicators off completely (they are tiny and barely visible to begin with even when working properly) and obviously the fault is no more. Going to the dealership to have them do this for me, if they would have at all (might be considered a safety issue), probably would have cost a bare minimum the cost of the scanner if not more. In conclusion, just this one issue was quickly and easily solved, and I saved money and time and now I have the scanner to use again if I need it. A+++++

I am a uro technician and I really love this tool it’s useful and gives a lot of details however… one of the services I provide I was hoping to use this tool for I have to translate the units from metric to standard to explain things to the customer. Understanding this is a techno adjacent tool, however as a diy person that can be impossible or annoying and at no point should a throttle body alignment cost you $50 worth of points it should be free. It is free with every other equivalent scanner from Innova, maxi and updon which all support vws. As a professional I can tell you with 100% certainty the only thing this scanner provides that 99.9% of other scanners under $300 does not is the ability to see timing chain stretch accurately. Aside from that and the ability to change lighting this tool is basically useless in comparison to any other. If you want the ability to do anything you want skip this purchase and save for a proper vcds.

The OBDeleven 3 Pro is a great tool, and well worth the purchase. I have bought several other scan tools that are bidirectional, and “able to long code.” But this scan tool is more than just a scan tool. You can access special features, and modules that other brands are not able to communicate with. Specifically with the mk8-mk8.5 GTI SFD (Schutz Fahrzeug Diagnose) gateway. These newer Volkswagen are hard to communicate with, but this tool makes it so simple!

It does some of the things the claim but not easily or free. Every switch every report anything takes credits.. it claims to code modules but it can not query a server for a modules complete code only adjust a properly coded module. Tech support never answers. Overall way better things out there. Buy a launch and get more for less

I am using it for my Passat b7 2.0 tdi 177 km 4 motion . So far I can read all the failures, reset them , reset oil change , check the mileage in the modules . It’s connecting pretty fast . I’m still learning coding but I can still activate some features so I’m positively surprised . For that price if u are using it few times a year only on your car it’s 100% worth it . I’m just highly recommending this device . I’ve got a comparison with the cheaper ones and they are no way near as good as obdeleven!

Jag rekommenderar starkt att man inte köper OBDeleven och att man inte litar på deras löften. Min erfarenhet är att produkten inte levererar det som utlovas och att man riskerar att förlora både tid och pengar. Jag betalade totalt 500€ (200€ för enheten från Amazon och 300€ för Ultimate-planen) för funktioner som helt enkelt inte fungerade, trots många försök. Dessutom kräver nästan varje aktivering ytterligare betalningar, vilket inte framgår tydligt innan köpet. Det värsta av allt är deras support. Jag kontaktade dem flera gånger men fick aldrig något svar. Man står helt ensam när något strular. Min tydliga rekommendation är: Köp inte OBDeleven. Lita inte på deras marknadsföring. Risken att bli grundlurad är mycket hög.

Comparando con otras marcas y modelos esta me ha solucionado varios problemas el la ECU de mi Golf GTE. Si tienes problemas con errores y avisos que te salen en el cuadro al arrancar o que te avisan de que lleves urgéntemente el coche al taller, te merece la pena gastarte en este aparatito y solucionar todo en casa. (ojo, no arregla lo roto), pero te quita los falsos errores, por ejemplo si has cambiado la batería tu mismo y aún así te sale "Cambia la batería"..
