Keson P100 Octoganal Chalk Line Reel, 1.5mm String, 2-4-Ounce Capacity, 100-Foot

This chalk line is nice a fat. I would not use it if you are making cabinets, but for construction type use, it is great.

Never fails, no gears no springs, just straight reel to line. Three other chalk lines have failed and this one is yet to jam. Pretty thick chalk line, leaks but not as much as other expensive 100ft chalk lines with the felt. If you need something reliable that will never get stuck on you and snaps thick lines this is the way to go. Only wished the nub on the arm was a little bigger. Design wise the triangle tip let you get into tight spots. Definitely would buy again has saved me when the gimmicky geared lines fail. Only fail point might be the string but that’s replaceable, even better if you use Kevlar.

Kenson chalk reel line it’s the best by far! I do roofing work and I need a bold line easy to see for continuous work I have this reel for almost 3year and it’s been working perfectly Keep on mind this is an extremely bold line ! iv have owned dozens of chalk lines over the years and one is top notch. this thing leaves a nice FAT line certinaly not for work requiring fine precision but for rough framing this thing is awesome! the only reason its not 5 stars is when you reel the whole line out it inst well attached and i had to open it to retie the string but even that the line is so simple it was nothing to fix.

This line doesn’t go bad, I’ve had up to 20 different chalk lines and while they work well for a while the gears will ultimately give out, leaving the chalk line useless. This line is great, I like how it keeps working in the rain, gears don’t do well in the rain but this line has no problem. Fantastic. Just have to get fast at winding up now lol
