I use such boxes for watertight connections on boats. This manufacturer happens to have many, many different sizes and configurations, and the one I chose fell right between two sizes offered by another manufacturer. In other words, the size (an oddball size) of this box was “just right”. In addition, this box is extremely well-made. It comes with a silicone rubber gasket to install on the lid to ensure waterproof integrity. Much to my amazement, it also came with FOUR cable glands, two each of a size, so any cable entering the box can be sealed off to prevent water ingress. The screws are genuine stainless steel, an important feature for wet locations. The 4 pre-drilled holes for mounting the box are each tucked in a corner, and “live” outside the waterproof section of the box so no caulking of the mounting holes is necessary. The 4 mounting holes are completely independent of the watertight compartment. Very clever indeed! There are 4 shouldered areas inside the box which will accept small (probably #6) sheet metal screws for mounting a terminal strip or other electrical items (relays, etc). It’s rated IP65 for water resistance, and I absolutely believe it. This rating means it is dustproof & can resist low-pressure jets of water (like rain or splashing water). I’ll definitely be buying more of these boxes in the future

Awesome project box that was perfectly sized for the circuit and install that was planned. It was very easy to cut Acrylic panels to hold electronics because the listing had accurate dimensions! The thickness of the Plastic was great and the weathertight gasket provides a positive seal that has kept the build nice and dry and the electronics well protected! Included were high quality stainless steel screws that provide a a great look and will not corrode over time. I ended up fixturing it down to my cnc to carve holes to accommodate led holders. I scratched it during manufacturing and it buffed up nicely back to a high polish! This case has held up to the elements in the summer heat, rain and imagine it will do well in the midwest winter. I will be using these boxes in the future for many other projects!

Yeah, I like and use these boxes for various electrical & electronic projects. They can be drilled, carved & etc for any purpose necessary to integrate into a project because they're rigid but with some pliability, and tough too! I usually have a few around of different sizes. If an idea pops up, I check my supply. Possibly the best feature is economical pricing. This box also comes with two cord glands, and two plug bosses, with caps. Really great additions--especially for the low price. I'll certainly buy more in the future, (well, I'm 81, so . . .)

I used this little project box for a switch to turn on an outside auxiliary light. This was the perfect size as it allowed room for a switch, SAE connector, and a fuse connector but yet remained small enough for me to place almost anywhere. The box seemed sturdy enough for several installed components. It also comes with a rubber grommet to seal the box from water. I find myself purchasing more of these for future projects!

I am adding an hour meter to my new wheelbarrow compressor to assist with maintenance in the future. I drilled a 2 inch hole in this box, inset the hour meter and attached the box itself to the frame of the compressor with a stainless screw through a pre-existing frame hole. I have an additional hole in the box on the bottom to accommodate the wiring harness that goes from the hour meter to the motor side of the pressure switch. When I activate the power lever in the pressure switch, it will power the AC hour meter and record the running time of the compressor. This little black box makes the hour meter look factory original (an hour meter SHOULD be OEM on these compressors!) Perfect solution for me. Handy boxes, well made, highly recommended! it’s very well made. All plastic with rainproof gasket. Mounting holes are isolated from box interior to maintain rainproof seal. I have used several different sizes of these and all are excellent.

Took almost 2 weeks to arrive, but when it did the quality is amazing. Very strong and sturdy, seals nicely and did the job above my expectations.
