Great lesson about bullying
Great lesson about bullying and good use of Joseph's story in order to illustrate the lesson. The story is a good way to teach kids that anyone can be bullied and why bullying is wrong.

A bit bummed about this one...
I usually love all of the Bernstein Bear books but I wasn’t a fan of this one. If you aren’t religious, this isn’t what you’re looking for. My children know a bit about faith and religion but this was very in detail and they had a hard time Understanding this one. Instead of teaching that bullying isn’t kind, etc, it tells a story about a religious event. So if your family doesn’t practice and read the Bible, it’s tough for a child to relate and understand.

As with most Berenstein Bear books, it teaches children important lessons. Great color and cute illustrations! Perfect for young children!

A bit disappointing
It’s a nice book, but I think we can all agree that the real protagonist is the old bear lady. The Berenstain Bears are mostly spectators, which is a bit disappointing.

Thus book is relatable to my 6 year old granddaughter that is being bullied at school now. This gives her an understanding at her age of what is not acceptable in how others treat her.
