Great RO system
Water from this water drop tankless unit tastes fantastic. I was tired of lugging those 5 gallon jugs around, so I figured it was time to invest in a system. I was a little hesitant about the tankless RO systems due to a family member having one that cost about 3x as much, is extremely loud, and the water doesn't taste that great. This is quiet when operating, has decent flow from the spout, and the led screen on the spout is a nice feature. It also doesn't take up very much space underneath the kitchen sink, unlike the standard tank style models. Filter replacement also is also easy, which is a bonus. Comes with everything to install it, but I opted to use John Guest fittings instead. Install is simple with all the connections labeled. Seems to have been designed for any diy person to be able to install. Hopefully it's reliable and holds up well.

Functional and modern looking
This is a great RO system and is priced very well compared to similar filtration systems. This Waterdrop G5P700A unit was replacing an older tank RO system that weโve owned for over 7 years and which had 4 filters. One of the reasons I selected this Waterdrop product was it only entails 2 filter replacements, but still having 8 stages of filtration. (One filter change every 6 months, and the other primary RO filter has a lifetime of 24mo). The faucet installation was the most demanding task, as needed to enlarge the hole in the granite countertop to aid in getting the faucet through. All other steps for installation were spelled out in the instruction sheet and easy to follow. I really like the black matte look on the RO unit even though itโs under my sink and not visible to everyone. The faucet which has a brushed nickel finish is an ideal match to my main kitchen faucet and the RO faucet has a very modernistic and stylish look. The electric pump that runs when the faucet handle is opened is relatively quiet. After using this system a few days you donโt even notice or are aware of the sound when the pump runs. Water stream is constant and okay, but slightly less flow than my old tank RO system. Perhaps takes another second or so to fill 8oz cup, in comparison. Iโve only had this RO unit installed and functioning for 3 months now, but everything appears to be operating great and the water taste is perfect. No issues so far with leaks or faucet dripping as other buyer reviews have mentioned. We currently are impressed with the product and hoping it will continue to operate flawlessly and provide excellent tasting water for many years to follow. ** Updated review ** After using this RO system for almost five months now, I'm updating my initial review. On the positive side, my independent testing with a separate third-party TDS meter confirms that the unit is providing good quality filtered water. However, a significant concern has arisen regarding the accuracy of the smart faucet's TDS display. The smart faucet consistently only displays a reading between 15 and 18, a number that does not match the actual readings I have verified using a stand-alone TDS meter. As an example: When water remains idle in the alkaline filter for an extended period (e.g overnight), the TDS will be initially higher upon dispensing. This effect holds true as my test sample with a TDS pen has been as high as 225 after inactivity. However, the TDS value in the faucet display never changes or fluctuates when turning on the faucet. In my case, the faucet display should be detecting and showing that higher mineral content, before dropping back down to a more normal range after about 15-20 seconds of purging. When I reached out to Waterdropโs customer support about this issue, they maintained that the device was functioning "normally" and offered no solution or replacement. I believe this meaningless value on the faucet display indicates a defective sensor or faucet, and their lack of support has left me with a complete loss of confidence in the product's smart features. A properly functioning display should alert the user to any increased dissolved solids (TDS) to insure you are receiving the best quality water.

This is a top notch system and top notch company
I RARELY give anything 5 stars so it should not be taken lightly. but, this unit, the company and they're attention to service has left me totally impressed. I've had 3 previous RO units and every last one of them has left me disappointed. Some more than others but they've not been replaced because they wore out. They were hard to care for, performed poorly, Name it something left me not happy. So much so I'd actually given up on RO units and went with a simple multi-stage water filter. Which was "ok". Until this unit. For the record I also purchased one accessory for it (their small pressure tank https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MD7FFYP?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title This because I have the unit hooked up to my refrigerator which has an ice maker so the pressure tank was necessary so when the ice maker called for water there would be sufficient flow to maintain correct operation. Neither unit has disappointed me (except a little stand for the tank would have been nice to have). As it is I've worked around that oversight. By being a "tankless" system there is no problems with stale tasting water and being a very small tank water is exchanged in it almost immediately while it does it's job. The main unit sits under my sink, and when filling a container of say a half liter or more the pump will kick on and hum quietly under the sink. Almost unnoticeable. The water taste is great, the remineralization gives me just the right amount of TDS back into the water for taste and mineral content. Bottom line this is one helluva nice unit Also wanted to add how incredibly attentive people in Customer Service have been especially Olivia. Honestly once again a top notch unit and company. If not this one grab a unit from these folks I don't think you will go wrong here. Update 11/17/2025 I am becoming increasingly concerned and disillusioned here with this product and the Waterdrop company. About 2 weeks ago I began noting quite high readings of TDS in my water unless I let this system run an inordinate amount of time before consuming or testing. Which is impractical as the unit is not simply plumbed to my sink but additionally plumbed to my refrigerator dispenser and ice maker. Here it is totally impractical (if not impossible) to allow this system to "run and flush itself) every few hours! I don't know if something has failed (they claim the CF type filter is supposed to last 6 months and the RO cartridge 12 months). Well I am not even at 4 months of use yet and I am using this with softened pre-filtered water. Yet trying to get a hold of someone at Waterdrop is like pulling teeth! I am seriously considering disposing of this system and either A going back to a conventional (tank type) RO system or perhaps one from a company with better follow through. As this is unacceptable. Should this change or be resolved I will certainly follow up with a full report. For now consider this a 2 start item not a 5 star Update on an update Upon talking further with the company re the concern(s) I have had/experienced, especially with Krystal, then verifying it with independent research on my own, I've discovered what was a "concern" is actually just a phenomena with all RO systems (whether tank or tankless as this one). It's called "TDS Creep". So what had me concerned was when left overnight, if you drew a glass of water and tested it straight off with another TDS meter it would give a somewhat high reading. Not awful just higher than you'd think. I've since come to find out this happens with all RO systems due to the stagnant water sitting under pressure against the RO Membrane. And that initial "slug" of water does flush away in seconds. Krystal was quite helpful in helping me discern this. I think some of my concern came due to some language differences as well as the huge time difference with their tech support. No there is not only a lag but with things translated "on the fly" there can be some misinterpretation. However they have been more than kind with walking me through the whole thing and having the knowledge will keep me from making a poor decision. I like the system so much a I ended up buying a second one for our daughter and will install it soon. For her I found a G2 and am looking forward to getting it installed

Amazing water
Fantastic water supply! I installed it a couple of days ago. The installation, being 80 years old, wasnโt easy for me. Simple things become much harder! The water feels very refreshing and my body tingles inside. However, the first few liters have a slight chalky taste. That cleared up fairly quickly, but it still feels smooth. I got a Britta dispenser for the refrigerator that has the standard Britta filter. I put the RO water in the Britta. The water that I get from it feels very clean and fresh, but not as smooth. I prefer clean and fresh. It does lower the pH a bit, but it is still alkaline. The water that I get from the dispenser is the best water I have ever had. The coffee that I made from that water also was the best coffee I have ever made.

Wish I had changed to this from battle water sooner.
So far so good. Just installed and it was pretty easy, harder part was turning the garbage disposal wiring into an outlet and switch. Keep in mind, if you have older pluming you may need to take the provided "T" apart and use the smaller connectors, Waterbrop provides two sizes, just take it apart and flip. The water taste is excellent, I wanted minerals put back in because I don't like the taste of water with everything stripped out I'll update this review if it changes over time.
