I have a couple of timers already but wanted something simple and analog for the kids to use to brush their teeth. I chose this set over others because the ends seemed to be a larger surface, which I assumed would stand more sturdily than other hourglass timers. These have been great at helping my kids stay in the bathroom longer to brush their teeth, and even helps me when I am helping my youngest brush hers. It's also dropped on the floor a couple of times (a given with the young'ns) but they are durable and I'm not worried about them breaking. The only surprise we got was that the sand came in yellow and pink, rather than blue. So just know that the colors are random!

These are so cute. Purchased to motivate kids to brush their teeth, and the each have their own so they can keep track for themself. I've never timed it to see if it's exactly 2 minutes (I'm not that intense) but it seems accurate. The sand flows nicely, it's never been stuck. I recommend this.

We’ve tried digital timers and they get wet in the bathroom, or my kids complain they are too loud and hurt their ears. These are easy to keep clean and stay on our sink. The colors are bright for kids to see at a glance. I even enjoy using them from time to time!
