Very heavy resistance. Hard to switch. But great, strong band.
UPDATE: I was wrong. This band is great. It was just way too strong for me when I first got it, which us a good thing because I had room to grow I to it. I still struggle to get 8-10 reps in with this thing on some exercises, and that's actually great. This is now my go-to band that I take with me when I travel, and otherwise it hangs by my front door so I can get a quick lift in before I eat and dull the insulin response from the meal. Love it.It is very heavy though. I can bench about 250-275, and I struggle to get to 10 reps on this. Also, you shouldn't expect to change this band out much. It is a pain to get the band out of the handles. Much easier to spend a few more bucks and get separate handles for whatever bands you need. Personally, I just use this one and a $10 Golds Gym one from Walmart that is strong, but nowhere near as strong as this.Former review:This band was way too short in my opinion. It makes it hard to do anything beyond curls with it. Maybe if you're really strong, you could do other exercises like shoulder press and incline bench press like I do with my other band (the cheap $10 Gold Gym one from Wally Mart). But I am not strong enough to do anything but heavy curls and shrugs on this. It seems like it should be longer and thereby get into the power resistance later in the stretch.

Much more functional
I have purchased both types and much prefer using these handles, paired with the isolated cords, to the cords that come with flimsy handles attached. It is quick and easy to switch cord resistance. Even if you're like me, and you switch them many times throughout a workout, it doesn't feel unreasonably putzy. Although they pop in quickly and the depression they fit into isn't super tight, the rubbery plastic has enough natural traction that you don't have to worry about them popping out on their own.The handles are a lot more comfortable to workout with. I do have small hands, but having the bigger firmer padded handles makes a variety of exercises easier. It just helps to have more to grab onto, and room for your hand to maneuver.I have one of the 'handled' cords b/c I wanted the door mount and it was cheaper to buy it as a set. I was hoping I could remove the grommets and use it with these handles. I wasn't able to sever it with the metal cutters I have. I was going to try pliers, but the price on the individual cords dropped, so I just bought another one. So, just an FYI - if you already have the handled cords, it's going to be a real hassle converting them.

Good Replacement
I got this as a replacement for my Marie Osmond Body Gym Bar. The old band snapped right at the cone tabs so I chose this one since it has an extra rubber sleeve over that area. Her band is red so I figured this one was probably the same or similar enough. It feels the same to me and the length feels the same. I can also use the handles that I have. It was difficult to find just a band and was temporarily using one with built in handles but that became to annoying having the handles flapping around. I had my other band for almost a year and this one feels like it will hold up. I use it mostly for my upper body and consistently used my other one 3-4 times a week.

the SPRI felt like less resistance than the Black Mountain band
It's ok. I bought this because I needed a little more resistance than my Black Mountain Products Atomic Resistance Band, 70-75-Pound, which is supposedly 70-75 pounds. Unfortunately, the SPRI felt like less resistance than the Black Mountain band. The other complaint is that the Black Mountain band has handles already included, whereas for this band you have to buy handles.Other than that, the band felt nice. I only used it once to try out the resistance, so I can't comment on the durability or anything else really. But, I was disappointed that it didn't offer as much resistance as I was hoping.

Glad to have a real SPRI again
I have broken three pseudo-SPRI black bands over the past five years during a weights/resistance bands class. Couldn't find a one-piece black Spri band, so decided to try it this way, with the separate handles and interchangeable bands, Had to guess which band to select, chose grey, found it to be roughly equivalent to the black Spri look-alike. A genuine SPRI band never has broken on me during use, and I'm hopeful that this one will follow suit. I was worried about assembly/disassembly after reading others' opinions that the process of changing bands was difficult. I don't find it so. Much easier than I had anticipated; in fact, pretty much a cinch.

Tubes release spontaneously-ouch!
I own a fitness center and just replaced all my tubes with this new system. Huge mistake. Tubes self release. Handle does not swivel, limiting many types of movements we need in our group classes. Probably going to need to send them all back with tubes and expense of list shipping cost and re-order a different product. So disappointed. I really wanted it to work, but having customers getting snapped by rogue tubes not acceptable.

Be carefull..
On the second day i used these handles using three black resistance bands, two of the three bands just poped out of the handle... Thankfully both of loose bands went straight to the floor, can't trust the handles for doind the over head type exercises.. When you push down on the clamps of the handles you can feel how they click down, this particular handle only one clamp seems to click down... Not all three, i just don't feel like i can trust this handles..
