Has sentimental value so it was great to be able to do so. The resin made it waterproof and protects it against further rot while the paste was great for rebuilding the rotted parts and takes paint well so it could be matched. Review: Excellent for restoring severely damaged wood instead of replacing it - I originally purchased the Abatron Wood Restoration Kit to help extend the life of an aging outdoor shed that had developed significant wood rot around the doorway, threshold, and lower framing. What started as a relatively modest repair turned into a fairly extensive restoration, and these products played a major role in making it successful. The LiquidWood was particularly impressive. After removing the actively rotted material and thoroughly cleaning the remaining wood, I used it to saturate compromised areas that were still worth preserving. It penetrated the wood well and cured into a solid foundation for subsequent repairs. The WoodEpox was equally useful for rebuilding missing sections, restoring damaged edges, and creating solid surfaces where replacement lumber needed to fit. It was easy to mix, shape, and work into irregular spaces, and once cured, it could be sanded and drilled much like wood. I especially appreciated having enough working time to shape repairs without feeling rushed. One thing I learned during this project is that these products work best when used strategically. I replaced extensively damaged structural sections with new lumber and reserved the epoxy for areas where preserving or reconstructing the existing wood made more sense. This combination produced a much more substantial repair than simply filling everything with epoxy. The kit isnโt inexpensive, particularly for larger projects, but the quality and versatility justify the price. It allowed me to preserve original wood, rebuild damaged areas, and correct problems that had contributed to years of water damage. After completing the repairs, priming, painting, and improving the drainage around the doorway, the shed is in considerably better condition than when I started. Long-term durability will take time to evaluate, but the cured repairs feel exceptionally solid. Highly recommended for anyone willing to take the time to properly restore damaged wood rather than simply cover up the problem.

Ideal for patching wood
Had a rotten corner on my deck fascia. Removed the rotten wood and applied the epoxy hardener. The result was impressive. The epoxy hardener had penetrated the area where applied and produced a hard surface to work on. I had waited several hours for it to dry. The filler was mixed and applied as directed. It was easy to work with as well and I let it dry over night. To reduce the high spots, I used my hand plane and it worked very well. It allowed me to put a sharp edge of the corner and required minimal sanding. I will definite purchase this product again.

Great Stuff!
Excellent product but expensive. Also the putty was much easier to work with than the competition. I bought some craft syringes from Amazon to get the epoxy deep into the cracked wood. When project completed it dried rock solid, so happy!

Worked for us every time!
We live in an older log home and I was intrigued that this product was used by historical preservation societies to shore up and repair damage that can happen over the years. We have used this product both inside and outside to repair damaged logs, and even an interior bathroom floor that had a bit of damage around the base of the toilet. The product is easy to use, but you will have to wear gloves, especially for the liquid wood part of the treatment. It's a two part process, and even with the most practiced hands and careful use, it can be messy. The wood filler portion is also a two part process. There are gloves and a spatula included to make the process easier. Frankly, I found just getting into the filler with your hands and working it till it's even is the best approach. The product dries beautifully, it can be sanded, stained, and it is extremely durable. We always make sure we have tis product on hand for what may happen. Follow the directions, allow both the liquiwood and the filler to dry thourughly and you can't go wrong.
