It doesn't have the heavier feel of the premium scribe pen. I thought it was a good idea to have a spare stylus. This has exceeded my expectations for the price. The top part does not erase. I have to change the writing instrument to eraser to erase using the nib.

Firstly, the great thing about this pen are that the eraser works perfectly and is just so convenient, you'll wonder how you struggled without it. Also it's just as accurate as the original pen (non-premium), so there are no compromises there.Now, the few differences might be non-negotiable for you, but here's my opinion:Size: It's a little thinner and shorter than the original pen. For me it means I write a bit quicker, since it's light like a pencil.Magnets: It has them, and they work, but they are noticeably weaker than the original pen. It still seems to stay attached just fine, and that might be because it's so much lighter (about 1/3 the weight).Functionality: Compared to the original pen, it's the same (plus you finally get an eraser), but compared to the premium pen there's no side button. Not sure what I would use the button for anyway and it might just get in the way.Overall:For about a quarter of the price of the official premium pen, I think this is a steal despite its minor shortcomings.

I got this pen for my Kindle Scribe. It works fine for writing and drawing. The erase function works well. Compared to the original pen for the scribe it is lighter, shorter, and thinner. That means it does not fit as snuggly into the pen slot of my scribe cover. But because it is magnetized it stays put.
