Blueair H35i Humidifier Gen 2

Just be warned, the top fan assembly (with the touchscreen) can get a little stinky inside.I don't know if there's a way to clean inside there. It doesn't look serviceable. All I saw were screws inside the assembly on the underside.This is a very robust, well-made humidifier. Probably top of the line. This is probably the best humidifier out there right now.Researched this hard.Checks all the boxes:- Evaporative fan (no white dust) (no concentrated moisture buildup)- touchscreen controls with settable humidity level- large tank- easy refill with tap water- low maintenance- fundamentally leak-free design (its literally just a bucket holding water)Looks and functions great! (It definitely brings up the humidity in a room.)Just looks and feels nice! (Robust & elegant touchscreen display / model design. High quality feel. A nice, simple, clean look. Just gives off the impression: "This is how a humidifier should be.")The only thing bad that sets me back is the top fan assembly doesn't seem serviceable to clean.I only smell a slight stink coming through the vent at the top and in the underside of the assembly. I cleaned the outer areas, but the stink still is coming from inside. I believe moisture built on the fans and inside. It isn't that bad and isn't noticeable with normal usage, but it is still concerning to me.

Quality- love the ease of a ‘pour on the top’ access to add water (do not need to remove casing or tank. Part of choice was the NO Mist - evaporation technology so NO dripping of droplets in room or fine white dust - especially love the filters (can wash by hand) to eliminate air particles and and the wick technology limiting the chance of mold in tank/water/air - Quiet! Like the App control and on the canister manual controls. Set Humidity level / alerts for low water and filter cleaning or change required.Quality product - purchased for parents in nursing home- dry air hard on respiratory system and skin. Great price point / quick delivery / online order for filters (1-2 year) depending on use

It looks great and the app functions are quite useful in regulating humidity while at out or sleeping. At first it worked wonderfully but after about three months it just stopped. I replaced the filter, removed mineral scaling, rebooted the unit, and nothing could get it going. The pump seems to have stop running. Perhaps there is more I can do such as adding descaler powder but I'm just going to cut my losses. Between having to buy new filters, the subscription for the app, cleaning, and dealing with descaler, it is just requires too much maintenance and built in continued costs. An expensive lesson. Would not recommend this unit.

UPDATE : 1 Month Later -It DIED! Dead as a doornail in a MONTH people! Will not turn on, if it does turn on, it shuts itself off, if it manages to be on and running, the water pump won’t bring water up onto the filter. I have thrown in the proverbial towel and returned it. DO NOT BUY THIS.PROS:Works brilliantly! I live in a desert and usual humidity was around 5 - 10%. I suffered from frequent nose bleeds, dry skin and dry eyes. This little unit has kept my bedroom at a very comfortable 45% humidity.I have to refill it daily, but that’s understandable! Refilling it is extremely easy with a water pitcher. I have not spilled anything. The unit is extremely quiet, and once I figured out I could adjust the brightness of the display on the app I think it is a perfect humidifier.I would absolutely plan on using the app if you purchase the device. The functionality of the top display is such that you really are better off using the app. It works seamlessly once you get the controls down.CONS:Keep in mind that when using the included QR code to “register” the device you’re only guided into signing up for the blue air promotional emails which is why I’ve knocked one star off.You’ll need to use the email associated with the app, create an account on their website, and then go to register the device under the “devices and warranty” subheading using the serial number found on the back of the unit and your date of purchase from Amazon to actually register your device for the 3 year extended warranty.

Really worth it. It really humidifies the room without having a mist. That's what I needed. My humidifier is next to a closed plant cabinet and it increased the humidity in my room as well as in the closed plant cabinet. Thinking of purchasing another one for the living room. Above all there's no sound coming out of it and the fan is at level 2
