Great value, quality and good fit. Durable adjustable velcro. Provides protection when weed whacking, prevents injury from nylon chord/cable. This is especially good for those who work in shorts and not long pants. It gives your leg the protection it needs while keeping you cool. It also keeps thorns and plant cuttings off your socks and pants.

I have a large yard and when I weed-whack every other week, I usually come out of it bloody. I know, I should chage to long pants, but who can be bothered?These shin guards solved my problem. They go on easily for the most part, protect you, and don't feel too uncomfortable. I'm not crazy about the bottom loops so I don't use them, but the top velcro holds them in place for long enough to do a very large (2+ acres) yard. They feel like they are going to fall off, and I'm not sure how long they will last (thus the 4-star review), but overall I am happy, would recommend, and likely would buy again.

For $14 these are a must-have item if you're weed whacking. Saves your shins from thrown stones or whatever, but most important it covers the tops of your boots and the front of your pants so very little wet plant detritus ends up on your clothes. I have a large yard that needs lots of weed-eating. It was always a challenge to brush the thick layer of grassy junk off my boots and pants. With these gaiters, a light brush with your hand and they're clean.One recommendation: The leg portion is held on with velcro straps. They're fine. But the part that covers the top of your foot has step-through elastic. My booted foot can't even through it. No big deal, though. Just don't bother with the elastic and let gravity hold that part down. But as-packaged the top-of-foot part is folded under the leg part, then the whole thing is folded lengthwise with the outer portion of the leg part facing out. (Apologies this may be hard to visualize as described.) The leg part ends up with a crease that wraps properly around your shin. The foot part ends up creased the wrong way so the edges are up. The manufacture should fold this lengthwise the other way, since the velcro straps will oppose the crease. My recommendation is that as soon as you get these, unfold them and then set the crease so the top-of-foot part wants to rest properly on top of your foot. It takes to the changed crease pretty well and works better without having to worry about the elastic strap.

These surprised me. They stay in place and leave me with clean trousers and shoes after an hour or two of weed wacking.

This was the best investment I’ve ever made! These guards are great. I have very thin skin on my legs and the slightest touch tears them, but not now. I wear them 8-10 hours a day and they are comfortable and by the end of the day, no bleeding or sores. They keep all the grass from piling up in my socks too. I have ordered several Forester products and each time I am very impressed and I will be gladly buying more of their products. After the first day using these, I had to order my dad a pair too!

They are pretty much how they are described. However, they don't cover enough of your leg. I purchased them to use to keep my pant legs from getting caked with grass and weeds. If they were wider and could wrap around your calf they would be more useful. Otherwise, they are lightweight and easy to put on.

Even when wearing my best plastic shoes and shorts these gaiters do a good job. Very comfortable to wear. Delivered in a timely manner.

Theses are easy to wear. I wear them with shorts and keeps gravel and debris off of my bare legs. I should have bought these years ago.
