VLOXO Electric Scissors GREEN

I have been getting a meal plan for a couple months now, the boxes it arrives in are double walled heavy duty cardboard and are pretty hard to cut with only a utility knife. I had a ryobi cutter product but it uses the round blade/slot style cutter and it has a a pretty tough time with the heavy cardboard even if it works good on other stuff. This unit uses a different sort of cutting blade (I've seen exactly three different types for sale), this one looks more like a pair of scissors and at least in the case of thick cardboard it works better than the round blade/slot system. According to the instruction book this can handle 2.5mm of fabric/cloth, up to 6mm of felt, 3.5mm of soft leather, 3.5mm of plastic, 5 mm of cardboard (which seems to cover heavy duty shipping boxes), 3.5mm of carpet, and 2mm of plant material (flower stalks, branches etc). At least in the case of the heavy cardboard this cuts much better and faster than my other tool that costs twice as much as this one. When you read the info on the amazon page, it seems to indicate that it comes with one blade for thin stuff and one for heavy but that's not the case sounds like they need to update their add--you get two apparently identical blades. You get the tool, two blades with rubber covers, and the battery charger. Replacement cutting blades are sold in 2 or 3 packs on amazon. You also get a nice little case to hold it all that could be used for other stuff when the scissors quit working. Before first use plug it in, the red light on the end of the tool turns on and goes off when the battery is fully charged (didn't take long probably about an hour). The unit appears to have been designed with a mechanism to hold the trigger in but it doesn't work, there is no safety on these scissors either other than the trigger. I'd let an older child use this but not a young one they'd probably cut all sorts of stuff off with it while giggling maniacally about it. On the subject of noise, personally I don't think this thing is all that noisy despite what others say in reviews. The unit comes in a couple of choices of colors, I just wish they'd add a purple, can't stand the pink and other colors are just uninteresting to me anyway. I suppose the true test here is how long the blades continue to cut efficiently, I'm just glad to find something that cuts heavy cardboard quickly without getting stuck like my other product does, it's the technology of the blades that determines what it's good for. If I had to guess, I'd say the round blade/slot might do better with thin stuff while this type does better with thicker materials. Vloxo has at least three products being sold on amazon, this one is priced the lowest, comes with two blades that slide on and uses its own power adapter to charge it. The very slightly more expensive newer unit comes with three blades (that really do have different uses) and is charged with any USB C adapter you might have laying around for your phone or other devices (but it also comes with a USB A to C adapter and USB C charging cable). The newer product also has slide on blades but also provides hex screws to hold the blade unit onto the scissors (also supposed to reduce the sound somewhat but I don't think that's by very much). The newer scissors also have a true "safety" you have to press the lock button top so the red light on the end comes on before you can use them. These are nice, they work well but if you don't care about color choices the newer product is a bit better if you ask me. I wish I'd understand there was a newer model before I bought this one, usually amazon has a note on the page that there might be a newer model not sure why that note isn't present on this product.

j’avais une crainte avec cet achat, mais finalement satisfait. Fonctionne bien et autonomie surprenante. Le seul hic, il n’y a pas un mécanisme de protection contre le démarrage par accident ou par une personne inapte à l’utiliser.

I thought these would do better cutting thick flower stems when I am grooming bouquets. They do not cut the larger stems, so I use my garden shears.

Wanna cut stuff out like Stormy does? JUST WING IT? lol! I love these things. Cutting out patterns used to be an ACTUAL pain in the back. It's so much faster now, I no longer dread cutting out a complex pattern. Pin slippery stuff down, bc they do kinda promote creeping, and KEEP YOUR FINGIES CLEAR!!!! 10000RPM IS NO JOKE. Lopped off an acrylic nail with these suckers like it was paper.

So glad I bought these. I have a lot of cardboard boxes to cut up (I order too much Amazon!) and these are better and so much faster than my box cutter knife. I use it a least once a week and haven't had to recharge it yet. Highly recommend.
