The mic won't work. Is there any trick to make this going?

Odly enough I had an issue with one of my Xbox controllers where the sound and mic didn’t work, but when I plugged it into my other controller everything worked perfectly fine. Maybe it might be a controller issue!

Does it require any software to have DTS surround sound? Or is DTS surround sound built-in the headset?

I'm not aware of it requiring any software but I am on ps5 so not available for me if needed. The 2's provided a much better sound profile in my opinion.

Does this headset have mic monitoring right out of the box so I can use it with my Xbox series x, or is that feature only available on PC?

No, has to be turned on in windows control panel. In general I can hear surroundings pretty well including my own voice depending how loud I set the volume.

Does DTS spatial audio work using 3.5 mm aux input?

I think so, but to be sure contact Hyper X store just to make sure
