My daughter has POTS so we have been experimenting with electrolytes. We were looking for something without caffeine or chemicals. At the same time, we wanted an electrolyte with potassium etc which is needed to absorb the sodium. We read about this product on a POTS forum and it is used by professional athletes. So, for the nitty gritty, the 1,000 mg sodium packets are just powder. This 1500mg tablet has a slight effervescence making what ever you put it in slightly carbonated. If you aren't sure about the carbonation, even though slight, stick with the packets because this tablet will make things fizzy. We do not drink any carbonated beverages so it was definitely different. We settled on putting 1 tablet in a bottle of lemon lime gatorade. It ends up tasting like sprite. Each tablet is 750mg sodium so 1 tablet with the gatorade gets her to about 1k in sodium for those of you wanting to up your sodium. We haven't tried 2 tablets in gatorade because she spreads the sodium throughout the day. POTS people often need between 3,000-10,000mg per day of sodium and corresponding potassium. This product has also helped her recover from sweating from working out. POTS people are often exercise intolerant and sweat a lot so electrolytes are a must.

Love the bicarbonate addition. The tabs are easy to mix with water and drink quickly. No GI irritation either, even while running in extreme heat.

I sweat a lot. This replaces that sweat. No cramps in sight. Tastes fine too.

I use this for when I want to recover or know I haven’t drunk enough water. Great for traveling and walking 20k steps. After taking this, your energy level will increase and you’ll feel strong enough to do the 20k the next day. I just pop this in my water bottle and try to finish before going to sleep. Flavour is not strong but your experience might vary.
