Honestly I wasn't expecting much from this, I've tried cups before and they just never fit right. The Pixie disc looked promising with the shape, along with the applicator, so I decided to give it and try. The first thing I will mention and why I took off a star is the applicator itself. Ouch! Look, we're women. We come in alllll different shapes and sizes. I'm not small by no means but I feel like even a smaller lady would struggle with this. It's so hard to push and TMI but you have to get your hands all up in that area to grab onto it and push. A tampon can be put in with one hand yet this process takes three or four! Even with the easy insert lubrication doing it's thing, it was so difficult to push that I ended up just not using it at all. Moving on to the actual star of the show, the disc! I found the larger size to work perfectly while the smaller one didn't work for me at all. Meaning I just have an extra that isn't going to see use at all. I know, test fitting and all means this can happen, just feels like a waste. Not a complaint though. It's easier to insert these with a scooping motion, that way they sit where they need to. The steamer is a good addition to the collection, honestly. It works really well and sterilized the cups in a saferannee that boiling them. Loved that. Both the lubrication and the wash were easy to use and did the job better than expected plus I had no irritation with my overly sensitive skin. I will say the wash has such an.....odd scent to it. I know it's just used to wash a menstrual disc but it lingers on the skin after use and I wasn't a big fan of that. But on the same note, some scents can be irritating to the downstairs area so in the end, not a big complaint there. The wipe samples? Phenomenal. I'm hooked. I've never had a feminine wipe not irritate the crap out of me. Took a chance with these during a bit of an emergency at a rather crappy location (a seriously busy mall) and to my surprise, no irritation! No rancid scent, no overly perfumed scent, honestly they were just perfect. I'm hooked and already purchased a pack to keep in my purse. And finally, the linen bags. I adore this extra touch and use it in my travel bag every month. Makes things so much easier and cleaner. I conclusion, I absolutely stand by this disc, it works as intended and the extras are wonderful for sensitive peoples with my only complaint being the applicator. Will be buying more from Pixie!

I absolutely love them already. There's a little learning curve, but the applicator makes it really similar to using a tampon! Never going back!

Prefacing that I had no (positive) expectations, but this kit changed my mind. Menstrual discs and cups sounded great in theory, but seemed too...involved, but with multiple long road trips scheduled at less than convenient times, I started researching the options. I decided the discs' auto-dumping was more my speed, and opted for the Pixie Cup kit because of the "string" and applicator. While I think the applicator makes setting the disc easy, especially compared to how I imagine it would be by hand, there's still a learning curve. For me, it was lube [the disc], lube [the plunger], and more lube [on the applicator], and standing. Also, the interior wall of the applicator barrel is notched, so I find it's easier to push when the plunger is inserted past that point at the start.

This one is a game changer in more ways than you might think. Husbands if your wife is not using these, get it for her. No pressure just tell her to give it a shot if she wants sometime. I'm telling you, you'll thank me for the advise. Not only is there the benifit of saving on the cost of all those nasty tampons, you get the reusability of the product and the added benefits of no mess in the bedroom without getting into specifics you'll figure out what I mean by that and be super thankful. Every woman should own this.

Everything works perfectly . I’m so pleased with my purchase and definitely will help save money over time during cycles . There is absolutely no need to snip the string if you insert and use the discs properly . I never even used any lubricant and things worked out fine for me . The strings are very useful for proper removal and I didn’t feel any discomfort . The bigger disc is a little more challenging to remove if you’re tight but I love the protection that the product provides during my cycle . I slept in both sizes with no issues and worked out and rode my bike . Just make sure to readjust after working out or riding a bike and everything will be perfect !
