I love my Kindle! Update!
I have had my Kindle for over a month, and I am still excited about this Kindle. However, I just saw that it is on sale (Black Friday Deal), and I wanted to cry. It is now $45 less than what I paid (excluding the cost of the charger and case; add another $60 to that $45 (Ouch!)). Then, I had to have a talk with myself, and it went like this: Trinigal, stop being upset! You are fortunate to have purchased a Kindle that works well, and doesn’t have issues (like others who have shared the dissatisfaction with their Kindle). You are still enjoying your reads and always looking forward to your next read. I then chuckled to myself, and said that the title of the next book I select should be: When is the right time to buy a Kindle? My original review is below: This is my first Kindle, so I don’t have any other Kindle to compare it to. I usually read a physical book, books on my Computer, IPad or iPhone. This Kindle makes a difference in my ability to relax while reading a book. It is an awesome device that is portable, light weight, and convenient. Although I like reading on my IPad, it will no longer be my go to device for reading (When you know better, you do better). My house is full of unread books that I bought over the years, and that really bothers me because I just couldn’t find the time to read (being a professor with lots of other academic books to read, I gave those academic books priority over a good novel). Now, I am at the point where I want to read books for relaxation purposes. I chose the Kindle Paperwhite Signature edition as part of my incentive to read a good book. I researched this Kindle for an entire month before investing in it. Let’s get to the workings of the Kindle: This 7 inch Kindle is easy to hold in my hands. The IPad truly strained my hand when I tried to use only one hand when reading. At times, I had to lean the IPad on my thighs for support. Now, there will be no more hand to thighs when reading! The Kindle set up was very easy, and user friendly. I did not experience any problems connecting to the internet. After set up, with bated breath, I waited to see how the pages turned on the Kindle, and if I will find any fault with the action of turning the pages of the book I was reading. I am happy to say there was none; no noticeable long lag time, no problems were experienced with the turning of pages on this Kindle. Then I squinted my eyes, opened my eyes wide, I turned the Kindle upside down, and side to side while turning to the next page of my book; I was trying to see if there will be any trace of the previous page as I turn to the next page ( ghosting; some users experience an imprint of the former page while moving to the next page of their book). Happy to report, I tried hard to find a problem with that but I found none. What about the battery? The battery charged very quickly, and there was no problem during that process. I did charge the battery with the case on the Kindle, (as the picture shows). The Kindle came with an 80% charge and in 30 minutes (or less) it was fully charged (100%). I am hardly ever swayed by reviews: Sometimes reviews work as an incentive, or a deterrent….I always say, try an item out and make your personal decision. This Kindle is a keeper, and I am also going to purchase the new Color Kindle Colorsoft. Conclusion: This Kindle paper white Signature Edition , Gen 12/32 GB, is truly made for reading. It is certainly a handy device for traveling, and reading on the go. It is easy on the eyes, and therefore, easy on the brain. The raspberry color is really nice, and I plan on buying an extra clear case so that I could easily see the vibrant color of the kindle. I am honestly excited to be part of the Kindle family!

Super little Kindle packed with great features!
I absolutely love this little Kindle. It is perfect to take with me anywhere and fits in my purse or pocket. It charges super fast and the charge lasts for weeks! Downloads my new books very quickly and loads my book in the blink of an eye. Read without glare even in the car in full sun. My big IPad used to hurt my hands to hold and read at the doctors waiting room, not this little gem. I can not say enough about this Kindle….it is great and I highly recommend it.

Great buy for an avid reader!
The display is so easy to read - it does flash black every few pages but I learned it’s to prevent the words from the previous pages to still show. It’s quick to flip pages, I’ve noticed it lags in the store slightly when downloading books but nothing too crazy. All in all it’s a great device that’s so easily portable and makes reading in your spare time so easy! I’ve had this a week and have already finished 4 books, I should’ve got this sooner!

Great product!
Absolutely love this! I got it for my 40th birthday, and it’s so easy to use. The font size can be adjusted to suit your preference, and the background lighting is simple to tweak, making reading comfortable in any lighting. The battery life on this Kindle is incredible—it lasts forever!

It does one thing and does it very very well.
I’ve missed having a Kindle. I had a Fire many years ago that got left after a breakup (wasn’t worth the hassle of having to see her again. lol). The Paperwhite Signature is great for what it is. I can’t help thinking that it’s pretty specialized though. As a tool for reading text anywhere I want to read, no matter whether in bright sunlight or in the dark of my bedroom, it is excellent. But it’s no tablet. If you’re looking to search the net or watch videos, look elsewhere. It’s very light compared to that old Fire, there are near infinite options for text style, size and lighting conditions. I’ve used it on the deck in bright sunlight and it’s perfectly readable. The warm light function was a big selling point, as I’d rather not break up with this one since I married her, and she doesn’t like the light of a phone when she’s trying to sleep. I really do think I sleep better without the blue light, though that could be placebo. I dunno. Did we take a technological step backwards with the Paperwhite, with its monochrome screen? It feels like it. But I bought it for one purpose, and for that purpose it seems to have no weaknesses. Loads books fast and the 32 GB of storage means I can load more books than I’ll ever have time to read. If you’re a voracious reader like me, get one.

White dots
I really love this kindle. I got it because I now have a baby and it’s hard to hold physical books at the moment while having to hold onto my son. The screen is nice but I’m seeing these bright white dots on my screen and I’m not rough with my stuff so I’m not sure how it happened. I’ve used it like three times. So for the price kind of a let down. But other than that it’s definitely useful and worth having.

A must have for the lover of reading. GAME CHANGER!
Absolutely love this Kindle! I use it daily. I was leery on spending the money on it. I wasn't sure i would use it enough. I use it daily and I have already read about 50 books on it. I was always a physical book reader. It was getting harder to read the words. This has a backlight and you can make the words a bit bigger. It has reKINDLEd my love for reading. Definitely recommend for the lover of reading!

The Worthy Successor: Farewell Voyage, Hello Signature Perfection
I give the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (Newest Model) a well-deserved 5 out of 5 stars! I’ll admit, I was hesitant to upgrade. I have absolutely loved my Kindle Voyage for years, but lately, it just couldn't keep up—it wasn't holding a charge for more than 16 hours. After debating whether to make the switch, I finally pulled the trigger on the new Signature Edition, and I’m so glad I did. The battery life is the standout feature here—it really holds the charge as stated, letting me read for weeks rather than hours. It is also noticeably 20% faster, making page turns and navigating my library feel instant and smooth. The auto-adjusting light is a luxury I didn't know I needed; it shifts perfectly to my environment. One of my favorite hidden features is the ability to turn pages simply by tapping on the back of the device. It makes one-handed reading so much more ergonomic and effortless! If you’re a longtime Voyage fan holding out, this is the upgrade that finally makes it worth letting go.
