I just shifted from an old 8th gen Kindle and the difference is MASSIVE. For one, this Kindle has a really big screen, that is, 7 inches, which you only used to get on Oasis. It also has adjustable warm lighting and great battery life. It is also pretty strong and is easy to navigate the interface. It also has good, sharp blacks and clear whites. This is also a 300 ppi screen, which is pretty good. This is a flagship level Kindle at the price of a standard Paperwhite. It is very nice, except the fact that the new Kindle OS had a lot of application error bugs, which Amazon also fixed. Great product. It has put Oasis out of business.

Writing a review for a Kindle is not at all a tough job. I have been using Kindle devices since 2017, and I can safely say that it's a great choice for booklovers who want to read on the go but want to avoid the bulk associated with carrying a physical book. This new version builds on the existing Kindle platform with some much-needed enhancements: 1. Larger storage of 16GB 2. Type C support 3. Better Display These aspects along with the existing benefits of glare free reading experience, good batter life, robust build, lightweight & comfortable size make this new version even more lucrative. One thing I can say that for book aficionados, Kindle devices will continue to remain a positive choice.

Great experience and smooth functions. Would have liked the audio book function but sadly not there.

If i had known such device existed .....then ...i would have bought it years ago.... Its jst so goodd.. Little expensive but worth buying if u can afford.

Kindle paperwhite 12Gen I purchased on March 2026 was shipped from Tamil Nadu, Manufactured: July 2025. Purchased in full price of 17K. It has 2 problems: - Faint yellow shadow(from LEDs), unevenly from the bottom edge of the screen. As I don't use kindle much in full brightness + no warmth(when it is most visible). I decided to work around it. - Then I came across a dead pixel in the middle of the screen. Which is distracting, and now I wanted to replace it. But I ultimately cancelled the replacement. After research, I'm very wary of receiving a replaced unit that might have the possibility of more dead pixels, line stripes defect, or worse yellow band light. It's like a screen luck lottery now. The replacement option offered to me was hand to hand of returning my current unit. And that gives me no peace of mind. The quality check of kindles even at this premium price point is rubbish now. Anxiousness comes with this purchase. This has literally been turned a lottery of getting not a 'perfect' product, mind you, but just to get an assured quality device that is expected from purchasing a brand new product at this price point (a standard which was maintained by the kindles of previous gens). Availability of the basic kindle for a less risky investment? NOT IN INDIA. HAH, bill a ₹5 'marketplace fee' for EVERY order now! Repairing/warranty of kindles? DeViCE NOt SErvICeABlE. At best, one might get a buy back offer if the device is not that old, or so I read. Why did I buy this? Well I've been using kindle since 2017 with my old 7th Gen (that finally gave up with a screen malfunction & button wear down). There were no issues of dead pixels/yellow banding/line stripes back then with kindles. We got a good product for the price we paid. Now? The scenario has changed, even if the same tier of model has increased in price (from 10K to 17K) the quality plummeted. The ease of reading many books, no physical storage, long battery, c-type are reasons why I purchased this. Expecting a durability atleast to match 7th Gen kindle giving me 9 years... But if the quality of the product doesn't improve in time of my next upgrade? This will probably be my last kindle. Ps: I researched Libra Color alternative had hassle of replacement & service in India. And ifixit won't ship battery here, only screen for around 12K. Rare to find local services on it. But atleast they don't abandon software support for their old devices like Kindle.
