How to open up fully, is it easy to fold?

You have to push really hard on the middle 2 legs. But, it is easy to fold. You just pull the leg straps while upside down.

Does the pad seem damp after sleeping?

I have not noticed that. Only once have I slept on just the pad. Granddaughter puts her sleeping bag on it. Others use a twin sheet over it.

Where do you store the mattress?

I stored in the plastic it came in, placed in a linen closet/storage container. This is only being used in my home or backyard, not on camping trips.

Does the pad come with its own carry bag?

No, pad does not come with carrier. That is the only down side to it. I use it as spare bed. I keep the pad in pillowcase.

Great cot and a very good price

This camping cot is a very good value. It is suitable for almost everyone. I am 6 ft. tall and weigh over 200 pounds and it was very comfortable for over a week. It has a foldable frame and a carrying case with it. It is very durable and comes with a thick pad as well. It is a good size for almost anyone.
