ESV Illuminated Scripture Journal: New Testament Set

I purchased the ESV Illuminated Scripture Journals New Testament set for my oldest for his birthday, and they are absolutely beautiful. He loved them, and it was something he had been wanting for a while. I really appreciate that each book of the New Testament is separate, which allows him to study them individually at his own pace. Being able to focus on one book at a time while journaling alongside the Scripture is such a great way to engage more deeply with the text. The quality of the set is excellent, and the illuminated artwork makes it even more special without being distracting. It’s thoughtfully designed, well made, and perfect for anyone who enjoys journaling while studying Scripture. This is a beautiful set and a meaningful gift. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a book-by-book Scripture study option or a special Bible study resource.

Highly highly recommend getting this ESV Bible in separate journal form for each book of the Bible. ESV Old Testament https://a.co/d/iqyLT0K and ESV New Testament https://a.co/d/7HHKOWc . Perfect for journaling during Bible Studies and messages/sermons when you are going chapter by chapter in the Bible or covering specific books of the Bible. Our Grace Church in Eden Prairie, MN, just covered the book of Revelation (it has been fantastic!!!), so I used the ESV Revelation Bible journal in the New Testament set. It works great for writing on each journal page: "Observations" on the left side (I like to write what happened in each Bible verse or write down highlights of the verses), draw a line drawn the middle, and "Questions" on the right hand side that you have. For any note taking, highlighting, circling words/phrases that are repetitive, and writing the Attributes of God on the left of the Bible Verses. I also like to put squares around the words I write of God's Attributes, God's different names or "he" mentioned in the verses and references to other Bible verses that correlate to the verses being covered. Highly recommend getting this version of the ESV Bible of the whole normal version of the Bible as well. LOVE the writing/journal space on the side. Great for getting the ESV translation which is more of a word for word translation than the NIV. Very elegant. Love the gold and navy. There are nice artistic golden verses on bits of the journaling sections of major Bible verses which is really nice. Perfect for messages/sermons that hop around the Bible. Has a nice Table of Contents. No index or definitions in the back. In the back there is an explanation for each of the drawings at the beginning of each chapter. The NIV Study Bible is great for connecting the dots between different parts of the Bible, history, maps, notes, research, chapter summaries, table of contents, index, definitions, etc.

I bought these in 2021 and I am writing this review in 2025 because these still blow me away with their beauty! I love everything about them aesthetically but I really like how much room I have to write in them and that they are covered by a sturdy, equally gorgeous case.

I love these for taking notes and underlining. It is nice for when you don't want to or don't have enough room in your Bible for all the notes you want to take. Perfect for circling words you want to look up. The set is beautiful, and I will be able to keep them all in one place in the slipcase box.

I’m absolutely in love with these. They came damaged but that’s fine. Life happens and over time they’d likely get some scrapes and tears. They’re paper after all hehe But these are gorgeous books and well crafted with love and thought. The designs and imagery is lovely. I use for scriptwriting the Bible and will get the OT to do also. I was writing into a notebook but didn’t love that. So this is amazing for my first full writing of the Bible :) I plan to get a blank Bible after this to write the Bible out in as well to pass down to my son and so on. Great items thanks so much for making things like this :,)

I love 💞 these beautiful to look at scripture journals of individual books of the Bible! Each has a different gold foil design on the cover and every other page is blank except for faint lines for people like me, who's writing falls downhill without it. The scripture is ESV translation. I really digg these cuz of their convenience for Bible studies. Each session, I use a different colored, no-bleed fine tip gel pen with great results. I now have more than a half dozen of these single Old Testament books, then I got smart and bought the whole New Testament set at a bargain price with a type of dust cover box that they live inside of. Well worth the slight investment!

Paper: I like the type of paper. It’s like a thick and nice newsprint with this colour. It’s smooth. Font style: the size is big. Not painful in the eyes. Clear and neat. Price: it’s not cheap. I like that it’s discounted. The box: its box is really thick and designed beautifully. Packaging: packed well so no damages with cushions inside. I intentionally bought it so I can study the whole of NT again.i like that it has pages where I can write anything about what God would reveal to me. I like that it’s 1 book per notebook. So I can focus in context. Really good for people who want to read or study the books again.

I absolutely love these scripture journals, it's such an incredibly way to study the Word. I love to write as I read and pray scripture but there often isn't enough room in a traditional Bible. These scripture journals have large print on one page and a blank page next to it to take notes, write, journal, draw, or whatever you would like. It's easy to pull out just one book and take it with you to read throughout the day. They have beautiful designs and colors and come in a beautiful box for storage and protection. I am so happy with this purchase and plan to buy the Old Testament set as well. This would also make a wonderful gift! 100% recommend

This was a gift that I was proud to give to a friend of mine. Of course I am always proud of the Bible, but this Bible product is exquisite from every angle. Each Book of the New Testament is featured in its own individual book with a blank page for every Scripture page. This makes it easy to handle and hold with plenty space to make notes as your study God's Word. Each Book is beautifully and unique illustrated on the cover and gold-foiled. The illustrations are also aligned with the contents of each Book. All the books are placed in an adorned box that can be placed on your desk and serves as its own book holder. Of course, now I also want this gift for myself! Highly recommended.

Absolutely brilliant. A fantastic way to read the Bible, making it infinitely more accessible especially for those new to the practice. The box is strong and smart, sa h volume is beautifully printed and set. Every second page is blank for notes and questions and thoughts. These are an essential addition to any Christian’s library.
