Weruva Senior Cat Food, Chicken in a Hydrating Purée, 3oz Can, Pack of 12

I didn't think my four cats would like this food when I opened it, it looks good but not a true pate, which they have been eating wuruva for years. I couldn't believe how fast they ate it. thank you wuruva as my cats are 17, 18, 14, and 13. I believe wuruva food has made them soooo healthy. don't be afraid, just try it.

Wow!! Our 3 year old rescue cat, Titi, was diagnosed with/CKD in January. It has been such a pain to find foods that she’ll eat that don’t have high phosphorus. This one is .73 dm, so, not great but not horrible phosphorous level. The saying is, the best food for CKD cats, is one they’ll eat. Well, she absolutely devoured this food! I usually have to add toppings or crush a temptations treat over food to get her to eat. I’m still in shock that she ate it in big, never before seen, bites AND finished her plate instead of a couple dainty licks before walking away.

I ordered the Weruva Cat Senior in the Chicken Formula in a Hydrating Purée. My senior cat eats kirkland signature chunks in gravy from Costco so I was curious to see how this compares. When I cracked it open for the first time I was surprised by the texture. They call it a puree but it's not the smooth mousse texture that I've encountered in purees - it's more like wet crumbles with little chunks of pumpkin and some weird gel chunks. My cat immediately tried this, but then refused to eat it after her first few bites. So this is not a hit for her. I appreciate that this does NOT include raw products and in searching before feeding her, I didn't see any recalls or health concerns associated with this food online. It just under $23 (at time of review) for 12 cans, which feels pretty on par with most canned food.

My very fussy, senior, tootless cat likes this, altough I sometimes mix it with another type of pate cat food. I adopted my cat at 16+ a few months ago, and this is one of the few "healthier" options she likes.

Sigh. The ingredients look good, but neither of my cats will eat it. I've tried mashing it up, heating it up, adding the bone broth they love, but they just won't touch it.

All our senior cats like this. We split one 5.5oz can for three cats for their morning wet food. We add liquid vitamins and L-Lysine so, it is important to have food they really like. Very expensive food so, minus a big star. We would feed two cans a day but, that's more than we spend on our personal food and beverages daily, seriously. This forces us to just feed a quality dry food for free feeding. There needs to be a much bigger discount say, for 30 or 60 cans. Why does this food cost as much as steak and $2.50 more per pound than good hamburger!? IDK. We may switch back to unseasoned grilled chicken. They love it, it costs way less. Our cats like it though and we are their caretakers. I had Prime points here so, I got this food for them to try. Our 16, 17 and 18 yo cats we have had since kittens. They are happy, healthy and very playful! We will do our best to feed this food until they tire of it, like cats do. Or we will just find a much less expensive alternative.
