Does it really float on the surface or will it gradually start sinking down to the bottom of the aquarium?

Only floats partially. That is, when you drop the food in it floats, but if the Betta swims close to the pellets, the motion will cause the pellets to sink. That's a bummer. It should stay afloat all the time.

Are there any insects in the food? the natural recipe graphic lists “insects”, but the ingredient list doesn’t list any.
