I have always liked this gum. It’s sugar free and doesn’t contain aspartame, which gives me headaches. Although the flavour is not long-lasting, it’s nice to chew after a meal. My dental hygienist recommended this product to me. I really like the multi-pack. I usually am not a fan of cinnamon gum or candy, but this one is quite nice. I especially like the pomegranate mint and chocolate mint flavours. I recommend this product.

There really are no losers here, but we kept a chart and fully assessed our highs and lows. -----Wintergreen----- Intense initial flavor! This mint gum tastes good (think Wintergreen white Tic Tac flavor), and it has that altoid-like intensity that kind of overwhelms your mouth for 15 seconds or so followed by that nice, mild sweet mint flavor that lasts. It would certainly overpower and burn out any unfavorable tastes in those first few chews before it calms down, so if you’re the kind of person who needs a heavy-duty mint to feel fresh, this is a great choice. It was too intense for my younger kids to enjoy (ages 5 and 8). -----Spearmint----- Perfect. Reminds me a little of Extra spearmint. Tastes great, flavor lasts and lasts, not too intense. If you’re looking for a solid, dependable, won’t-burn-your-nose kind of mint gum, this is it. I will definitely be buying this regularly as my staple, go-to gum for the car. -----Peppermint----- Another solid mint. Same assessment as Spearmint but Peppermint version. Flavorful but not too intense - a very nice, delicate Peppermint with no burn. Kind of reminded me of a pastel butter mint. The flavor lasts great. If Peppermint is your preferred mint flavor, you can’t go wrong with this. -----Coolmint----- Crowd pleaser! This tastes exactly like Winterfresh gum, and it topped the list in flavor for just about all of us. The one downside is that it loses its flavor pretty fast (to be fair, so does Winterfresh). The taste is phenomenal, but it drops like a hot potato. In comparison with the other mint flavors, it had the least staying power. However, if you want a flavor everyone will like, or if you just like to use gum more like a breath mint and have a delicious 2-minute chew, with a faint mint taste after that, this would be my top pick as far as flavor. With how much the kids liked it, we’ll definitely have to keep it stocked. (To the Product team at Pur: spring green is the wrong color for this gum - it should be Navy!) -----Chocolate Mint----- This was a hit with my little ones, and it’s a classic flavor combination. It’s not quite Andes-level goodness, but if you imagine drinking a chocolate protein shake with mint gum in your mouth, that’s basically the flavor profile. It’s not going to taste like candy, but it’s still a pleasing flavor that lasts. I wouldn’t pick this as my workhorse for minty breath freshening, but it’s a nice go-to when I’m looking for something a little different than straight mint. We used to have it on auto-ship, and even my then-2-year-old loved it, so the "mint" flavor is not too strong. -----Pomegranate Mint----- I was scared to try this one, thinking it was such an odd combination, but it was surprisingly better than I was expecting. It tasted fruity and minty, very, very sweet. Though after chewing for a few minutes, the sweetness kind of dissipated, and I was left with just the perfumey notes, which I didn’t prefer. My girls (5 and 8) thought it was awesome, ranking it higher than the assorted jumbo Grape/Bubblegum/Watermelon combo and right up at the top of their lists with Chocolate Mint and Coolmint. My 14 year old felt it was almost as good as Chocolate Mint. -----Jumbo - Grape / Bubblegum / Watermelon----- I guess this is a good time to address the “jumbo” assorted pack. The kids were excited that these were colored, as the other flavors are all white. The size of each piece was equivalent to 2.5x the regular size. The Watermelon was quite good, and I really enjoyed it. It also got very high ratings from all the kids. As an adult, the grape was good but a bit disappointing because I went in with high hopes, and my 5 year old called it, “Meh.” I had high hopes for the Grape because I’ve always been a big fan of grape Big League Chew and other grape-flavored candy. It just didn’t have enough sour, deep grape intensity I was hoping for, but it almost got there. The second time I had it, I enjoyed it more because I wasn’t expecting greatness. My other three kiddos all gave Grape and Watermelon equally high ratings. Both lost their flavor quickly and kind of tasted like chewing on wax bottle candy (if you remember those) after a while, which I actually kind of appreciated from a nostalgic sense, with just little hints of the leftover flavor after a minute or two. Jumbo Bubble Gum also comes in this variety pack and I’m told tastes exactly the same as the regular solo Bubble Gum (rated below), just bigger and pink instead of white. -----Bubble Gum----- Our ratings on this flavor are not going to be fair in comparison because we’ve had this flavor on auto-ship for years, and my kids are over it. I will say my kids all LOVE Hubba Bubba and Double Bubble “junk” gums, but this one isn’t as exciting for them. I have always hated anything bubblegum flavor, so not surprisingly, I didn’t like it. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad gum, though, it’s actually quite a good flavor for those who like bubblegum. Their cousins (ages 7-11) thought it was great! -----Cinnamon----- I’ve never been a big fan of cinnamon flavor, but I tried it for the sake of trying it, and it really was pretty good. I would have it again, and that’s saying a lot. It had that classic spicy cinnamon kick, but it wasn’t overly intense, still had a lot of sweetness to it. Flavorful but probably less than 1/4 the spice intensity of a typical Fire Ball candy (it didn’t upset my youngest ones who are usually very sensitive to spice). Kept its flavor as long as the mints, which was a plus. (UPDATE: I've been converted! I can't believe it, but I kept coming back to this flavor, and after we ran out, I kept craving it for weeks... so I am back here to purchase a 6 pack of cinnamon on auto-ship!) -----In summary----- These are all great-tasting gums, especially for being so healthy. The xylitol is great for your teeth and oral health, and there’s no aspartame. The texture is perfect, nothing sticky or weird, great mouthfeel. FYI - You can get by with one piece, but to have the same volume as a stick of gum, you need two pieces at a time, so plan your purchase accordingly. Also, it has perfect stability - I keep it in the car in 100++ degree Texas summer heat, and no issues getting sticky in the bag or anything. I hope you found this breakdown useful to help you decide on a flavor!

I bought this for the xylitol ingredient. As it's good for teeth. Great taste but doesn't last very long. Fine for me as I am OK with it lasting briefly. Just like to use the xylitol after eating. But expensive for gum but there's not many around with xylitol that I have found so I'm pretty happy with it. Great flavours and nice design

Let me tell y’all something about PUR gum because this stuff is a game changer for me. I’m going to open with the ONLY drawbacks, and these are that the flavor unfortunately does not last super long and it does get a bit tough after 10-15 minutes of chewing. Now to the pros: 1. Flavors taste good. Personal favorites are the bubblegum and spearmint but all are nice. 2. Makes my mouth actually feel clean. I don’t know how to fully describe it except that cheaper gums leave a filmy, sugary feeling in my mouth sometimes. None of that here. 3. Keeps my breath fresh. I am super anal about how I smell, and my breath is no exception. If I’m eating anything or finished with my coffee, I am 100% chewing some of this after. Especially at work when I can’t count on running to the bathroom to brush my teeth all the time. 4. XYLITOL. Now this is where I’m real passionate about this gum so listen up. Xylitol is an amazing little molecule for many reasons. It allegedly improves saliva production, and I do personally feel my mouth is much more moist during and after chewing (even when I’m a lil dehydrated). It also has proven oral health benefits, as it is a sugar that CANNOT BE FERMENTED BY MANY BACTERIA. While there is still a lot of research that needs to be done in proving all of these claims, I can give you my personal story. I’ve struggled for my whole life with serious plaque buildup on my tongue. It has made me SO self conscious in the past, as I’ve tried tongue scraping, mouthwashes, toothpastes, just about everything. No matter what I do or eat, it comes back every morning (and sometimes during the day) with a vengeance. Finally, I saw that chewing xylitol gum can help with plaque causing bacteria, which is why I tried PUR gum in the first place. Let me tell you, the difference is wild. After chewing this stuff a few times a day and with no other changes to my routine, I have SIGNIFICANTLY less plaque buildup on my tongue each morning. And when I say significantly less, I mean there used to be a nasty, visible film to scrape off every morning and now there is little to none. I no longer have any buildup during the day or persistent patches that I struggle to brush off. I am so happy that I found this gum!! TLDR: if you’re chewing just for flavor/texture, don’t get this stuff. If you’re chewing to have a clean feeling mouth and noticeably reduce oral bacteria then buy it now!!
