Keeps improving.
Seats a little too wide. But overall itโs very sturdy and has improved over the years.

I love the gym, hate the shipping
The gym itself is versatile, functional, and well designed. I have used a Total Gym before and find that the Evolve is a welcome step up. Set up was a breeze, and the included training deck will keep me busy for quite some time. The padding is sturdy and comfortable. The vendor on this sale was also helpful and understanding when things became complicated with shipping. Unfortunately, the shipper was FedEx and getting them to do the right thing was difficult. Be advised that this unit is about 140 pounds, so be your first workout will be getting the box into your home.

Highly recommended from a person with results through years of fitness, health, and training.
I am retired military. I have spent a lot of years training and have never come in second in a fitness test. I have run a 4 minute mile and benched pressed over 400lbs. I have front squatted 375 for 8 reps... now, I am forty. I'm still pretty strong, but an not interested in trying to "save the world." I had a good run at life when I was younger. I'm still pretty well muscled, and do cardio, but not to the extent I use to because I am focused on aging gracefully. So, I gave up the gym for free weights, dumbbells, plate machines, treadmills, etc. I'm not here to really brag on myself. Take it for what its worth. My point is fitness has been VERY important to me my entire life and has helped me make it through serious medical condition and trying times. The Total Gym has been a game changer. I can do practically any exercise on this that I could do in any gym. It's compact and can be stored out of the way. I liked it enough to purchase the version from the Elevate series... and use both for various reasons, but I'll. spare the details. If I could only keep one, it would be this model. So, obviously, I am well conditioned and still pretty strong. That's where I'd just recommend getting the additional accessory bar that allows you to hand circular quarter inch plates. For free weights, I use Power Blocks (dumbbells). Beyond that, a pull up bar and pushup handles to take stress off the wrists... running and biking for cardio. To be honest, I thought the total gym was kinda silly and a joke for any "real" lifter. Well, I stand corrected and highly recommend it. For someone maintain their fitness and reasonable muscle mass, strength and flexibility, the Total Gym is awesome. Its my most favored piece of gym equipment I have ever used and owned. I highly recommend this and the price is beyond reasonable. I guess to talk on the packaging side, it is well packaged. I hope this company is around for many more years to come. I'll be devastated if they aren't and I got to replace my current machines or need any replacement parts. They are no joke, great quality, and built to last.

Couldn't be better
Great workout machine and set up. 74 yrs. old and this thing does non impact stretching and lifting resistance that is perfect for me. Use it daily....25min a session with 11 exercises ....40 reps each. Perfect. Take Sundays off.

BIG MISTAKE!
My first Total Gym, which I purchased four years ago, was great. So, when the Evolve version's price dropped to $1,500 I upgraded. BIG MISTAKE! The Evolve required two additional holes to be drilled into the slide beams in order for sit ups to be possible. The wing attachments are very uncomfortable for sit ups. The slide easily comes off its track. It won't come completely off the incline beams, but it requires resetting. The resistance level decals began to be scrapped off by the vertical resistance slide with the first use. The only improvement provided by the Evolve is its ability to offer greater resistance (exercise weight). I will never again purchase a Total Gym product.
