Fast, Fun, and Reliable RC Boat
I recently got the Racebeast RC Boat for my son and I and have taken it out a few times on both a lake and in our pool. It’s an absolute blast on the water. Right out of the box it feels solid and well built, the carrying bag and foam insulation make it easy to carry around and not worry about it getting smashed in the trunk. On the water this little boat is fast and totally hits the 40mph mark. Watch out in the pool as this thing gets to the other side in the blink of an eye. The self-righting feature actually worked for us when it flipped in a sharp turn and popped right back over. The controls are responsive and I love that it has different speed settings, which helped my son try it out safely too. The LED lights are a nice touch for evening runs and the low battery warning saved us from losing it off shore. The waterproofing held up perfectly, just make sure to leave it open to dry after use to ensure the bay is completely dry for your next ride. The battery life is about 15 minutes so I’d recommend grabbing a second one to lessen down time. Overall, it’s been a fun, fast, and reliable RC boat that’s great for both serious RC fans and beginners.

Fast, smooth, great purchase!
Fantastic! Came back after a year to review this! This boat is fast and for use in a larger body of water. (No way you could use it in a pool.) This will be our 2nd summer using this boat on the lake. My son stands on the dock and runs this boat around in the water where there is little wake. When the boat flips, it easily fixes itself. It lets us know when the battery runs low and we need to get it out of the water. That would be the only downside, waiting for it to charge to play again! This has been a great purchase for us. My nephew got a cheaper boat and its not near as fast or smooth on the water. It was worth it for us!

Make sure to keep your receipt
Used the boat once and it was fast, fun, and the kids loved it. Battery started to die out so I took it out of the water, removed the battery, charged it for a couple of hours, reinserted the battery, put the cover on, and went to the lake to keep playing with it. The speed was half of what it was initially, decided to charge the battery over night with the same result the next day. Kids were very disappointed as was I. The hull did not have water in it, there was nothing around for it to have hit, so we set it aside that Memorial Day to do their things and forgot about it until yesterday. Charged up the battery in hopes it would work like it did the first time using it and it went at half speed, again. Order history says I missed the support window for a replacement, but wanted to let future buyers know my experience.

It actually goes 40mph!
This is my first foray into the rc world in 25+ years and wow are they different. So far I've found in my first few sessions that the product description is accurate! Run time is 15-20 min, top speed is 40ish. The manual, it's decent enough. 3700kv motor paired with 1800mah 3s battery, surprisingly decent setup. Servo with slots open for other controls. Honestly the components in the boat probably aren't super high quality but they are very functional and if you really wanted to it could even be upgraded. I don't really plan to upgrade it because while the drivetrain is solid, the hull leaves a bit to be desired. The hull and external components. It comes with spare prop shafts, props, and one spare rudder. The rudders and rudder arm are plastic so at least they'll break before causing damage to the hull but they will break relatively easily. I broke one on my first session, my fault. My second one is showing signs of weakness already. I contacted the seller and they do not provide any further replacement parts so I ordered an aluminum rudder/arm which may cause more problems if I hit something again and the rudder doesn't give. I also find that the water cooling exit tube kinks a little in the factory configuration, not a big deal, just keep an eye on it. Now the narrowness of the hull does lend itself to pretty strong torque roll with the power of this engine/battery. I checked today to see if the trim tabs were adjustable and they are not so I don't see a good solution to the roll. I may try adding counterweight but the battery already sits on the left and isn't enough. The charger. It comes with a 3s lipo battery. A 3 cell lipo charger is like $10, buy one of those so you don't have to worry about uneven charging or overcharging. The little USB plug that comes with makes me nervous with how easily lipo batteries can be damaged and a damaged lipo is not something you really want in your house. Also I think this boat is a good stepping stone to higher quality rc's so take care of the components as they seem good enough to me to use in other toys, especially the battery with the xt60 connector. The double hatch does a decent job at keeping water out but I do notice some drops inside after a session involving a few flips.

This RC Boat is Awesome!
This RC Boat is Awesome! I am really impressed with all the features at such a great price. I will start with the speed and power. It is adjustable so you can fine tune how much speed based on how much space you have or for younger kids. I would recommend this to kids 8+ with adult supervision, and it is a blast for adults too. At full speed setting, it is really fast! The battery life is really good too and the included charger is a great addition. Durability is so far amazing, as I’ve gotten the propeller stuck in weeds and branches multiple times and it still runs strong. There are also replacement propellers included so if it needs replacement that can be done. Overall, I’m really impressed with the functionality and value of this RC boat!

This water rocket goes NUCLEAR!!
this boat is super fast. At the highest level you really need to know what youre doing. The boat has a "self righting" feature just for those that take it to level '11'! So far very water tight. batteries last quite a while and remote is responsive. We run it on a fresh water river and it is amazingly fast. Hours of fun already. My only complaint is the engine cooler tube doesn't stay attached to the rudder area. yes, the engine is so fast it has a coolant system. SICK!

RC Boat
Review for the older blue and yellow version: Fun little boat! Pretty dang quick and great for the price. 4 stars for a few reasons, the battery lasted a pretty good amount of time for me, maybe 20-30 minutes but as hard as I searched I couldn't find where to buy more of them so I could have longer run times with it (update they sent me a link so I was able to get another battery). The low battery feature is great to have although it doesn't tell you how much time you have to get it back before it dies completely, as well as that you have to turn the speed down to do so once that alarm starts going off, I thought it was dead and stuck in the middle of the lake because I didn't realize you have to turn the speed limiter down to get it to move at that point. Lastly, the boat tilts to the left due to the weight of the battery, making it turn really well to that side but does not turn nearly as well or quick to the right and it really limits the speed of the boat when turning. Would still recommend though. Review for the newer Racebeast model as the older model doesn't exist on this link anymore: 2 Stars, battery only lasted about 10 minutes if that, and again no easy way to find/buy more. Water got into the boat which I realized could have been my fault for not putting the bottom waterproof shell layer in the right slot to really push it down tight but it's really easy to get confused on that peice as I see other reviewers with the same issue and wonder if that was the case for them as well. The biggest problem I had though was that the self righting feature did not work, you press and hold a button for it and it's supposed to flip itself when capsized, well it did not work, had to jiggle the throttle back and forth a bunch while turning it to get it to right itself several times which was very annoying and probably why the battery didn't last very long. The boat leans heavily to one side so if you make any sharp turns to that side it'll flip for sure. Not very stable and honestly didn't seem any faster than the older blue and yellow model one I still have even though it claims almost 10mph more.

Great boat for a beginner !
Purchased this for my grandson’s 7th birthday. Very nice boat with great features. It’s fast and very responsive to the controller. Runs for about 20 minutes when the battery is fully charged and charging time isn’t bad. I will be buying a few extra batteries so he can spend more time with it on the water. The low battery indicator works great so the boat doesn’t get stranded on the water. The ability to right it when it capsizes with a button on the controller is a great feature. I also purchased a 3 year warranty since he is only 7 and accidents happen !!!
