Weed pulling magic, works great and effortlessly.
This is WAY better than trying to pull weeds by hand or with a small weed removal tool. I was able to fly along my yard and lawn and remove tons of weeds with very little effort. The tool itself feels very sturdy and is very easy to assemble. You basically just snap together 3 or so pieces and you are off to the races. The tool is mostly metal based with the weed ejection system, top handle and lever being plastic based, but I don't see those as being the failure points. The tines and main stick are both metal. I'm about 6' and it's plenty tall for me to use comfortably on the tallest setting, but you could also make it about 5 inches shorter with it's adjustable height. I've pulled plenty of weeds by hand, which takes forever and you usually end up breaking off the root so they come back. With this I've had great luck pulling out the weeds effortlessly and getting their roots. I attached a picture of one of them which the root was may be 10+ inches. Really would recommend this even if you only plan to use it a few times a year. The cost , value, and time savings with it is definitely worth it.

Great Tool for the Money
I made the mistake of buying the Garden Weasel weed puller before I saw this one. With the Garden Weasel, you have to twist the tool to pull the weed out. But the twisted tap root will usually break and will not be removed. So I took a chance and purchased the WilFiks tool. It is very similar to the Fiskars tool but much cheaper. The WilFiks pulls out the weed and usually gets the deep tap root too. If you pull it back slowly, this will help to prevent snapping the tap root. I also love that it has a height adjustment feature, as I am on the taller side. If you have lawn weeds to deal with, get this tool. You will not be sorry!!!!

Stay clear of this one.
This item works well when it is working. The problem is it doesn't work long. Another reviewer mentioned a pin that needs to be re-engineered to go through more of the metal body. This is the exact same thing that happened with mine. Unfortunate because this could have been the tool for weeding. Mine worked for about 150 dandelions, then broke. I went to the company web store but do not see the tool, nor a way to contact the company.

Well Built And Sturdy
Product works well for some weeds except those with underground spreading roots. In these cases, it loosened the ground around the root enough to pull out manually. One problem, though, regarding assembly the release pushrod was installed backwards relative to the handle. It was not noted until after the rest was put together. It was very difficult to disassemble to correct the pusher. due to the plastic stops at the ends. The springs inside the length selector are too strong to depress for the length selector. Tools were needed to change the stops. Otherwise, it is strong, generally very well built and sturdy.

What a time-saver and Back saver! Get one.
We were going to buy the Fiskar branded Weed Popper but this one looked like a copycat design. China is good at copying other manufacturers. So it arrived, simple assembly, simple to use. Here in Oregon, we get lots of rains so right now, the ground is soft. The strip of barkdusted area in front of my Neighbor's House was covered with Weeds. He is 84 years old and can't do much yard maintenance. The strip of barkdusted area is about 4 feet wide and 70 feet long. I weeded the whole thing in around 40 minutes. My Back was broken 5 years ago and I cannot bent over, even to put on my Shoes. So this Tool is amazing. I suppose the plastic fulcrum could break if the soil was rock hard and you forced it hard? The Weed comes out with a fair amount of dirt too but it wasn't really and issue for me. I am going to order 2 more of these for my two Brothers. Great tool, great deal!

SOOO much nicer to my back!
This item is a real back-saver! I bought this weed puller because I have a large yard and enough dandelions and thistle that I always regretted not using a chemical week killer in years past. That's not the case this year since receiving the Wilfiks puller. As long as I can spot the center of the weed, it does a great job of pulling the weed and quite a bit of the root with ease. It holds onto the week so I can transfer it to a 5 gallon bucket, then release the weed with an action reminiscent of cocking a pump shotgun. This device does tend to take more dirt with it than my old manual digger, but nothing worse than what a squirrel does recovering a nut. I also have one of the Wilfiks metal and bamboo stand up pullers that I tend to use in areas of my yard that are a harder soil composition since this particular unit is a lot of plastic. The metal unit works very well too, but does require manual release of the weeds. I also bought one for my daughter who just moved into her first house, and plan to buy one for my mom as well.

Works well but not built to last
The tool worked well before the blade broke in only 4 times of use. Great at pulling dandelions.

This tool does do a great job and it's sad to see that it's been poorly constructed.
Works great when new, however it does has structural flaws. Mine broke on the first day of use. The ejector rod plastic that runs through the side of the unit its positioned in a high stress area and it broke. After heavy usage on the first day, the prongs were getting stuck and it required me to pull up the food lever by hand to reset the tool. The ejector plastic cracked because it takes the force of the tilt down force that required to pull the weeds. This tool does do a great job and it's sad to see that it's been poorly constructed.
