Great little trainer
Was able to upload the program that was running on it to my pc within 5 mins of powering it up. I'm an AB guy and had never used any Mitsubishi software before, but I did own it on my work laptop. It was a simple program where X1 turns on Y1 and so on... The biggest surprise was that this little thing will allow online edits. Yes, you do not need to re-download the program to change it. This feature is usually reserved for more expensive units. This was using Works2. Have not tried Developer. The inputs are sourcing, even without terminating a wire on the COM, so it's using the DC+ internally. Have not tried to tie the COM to 0V and see if the inputs can be changed to sinking because i don't want to fry anything. Now, if we can only get one of these inexpensive boards with a MCU that works with RsLogix500 or 5000.

hardware good, software bad
it works but the software to get them programmed is really trash

If you know what you're doing, this is the trick!
I've used the official version of these PLCs for years, and this works just like it should. There is a lot of informatioon I would like to see on the order page that isn't there: What voltage and current are the relays? I am running 120VAC starting small motors with no problem. Is the input source or sink? Apparently it is sink. (I still haven't really nailed that down :). I had an ols laptop with GX on it and it worked great. I had a controller go out on a pellet stove and used this to replace it instead of spending $450. If you know what you are doing, this is the trick!

SWEET!!! A good match for a minor budget
Worked out of the box and runs just like the more expensive units.

Love this product, with GX developer and a RS232-USB cable, you are good to go, I will keep buying this.

What a scam!
Where do you get the GX-Developer software? When you Google, you go to a site where you have to install the PC App Store, and then you search on the software, and it is not available. Now that software will put my machine at risk, so uninstalled it. The other option is a an extension which will track my site but still no option to download the the software. I will not buy the PLC until I know that get the GX- Developer.

Works as advertised, hook up 24V DC, connect GX developer via 9 pin D, RS232 9600baud straight thru cable, 2-2 3-3 5-5, inputs are sinking so they switch to 0V for an on state. (pulled hi off) Board appears well built, main caps good quality, you can get a spare and still be half price of any name brand. If the lack of documentation is a problem for you, I suggest you take a PLC course.

Extremely hard to use due to no doccumentation whatsoever. Trying to Google search comes up with no leads either. Stick to recognised brands

Works great was easy to program. I would give 5 stars if there was information in the box received with the unit.

This 24V FX1N-14MR PLC looks solid and powers up fine, but getting it to communicate with the programming software wasn’t easy. The included instructions were vague, and the software didn’t recognize the unit right away. I eventually got partial connectivity, but uploads and downloads were unreliable. Physically, the build quality seems fine — terminals are tight, and the relay outputs click properly — but beginners will likely struggle to get it configured. With better documentation or compatibility testing, this could be a very capable budget PLC.
