Useful data that is reliable up to a point
My sense is that with RingCon versus the alternative that requires paying a monthly fee for service, is that RingCon is more than good enough to avoid paying a monthly fee. That said with all of the ring based solutions they are best used for everything except exercise. For that you really want something that fits as a band on your wrist to obtain accurate exercise data. But if you are looking for sleep data then RingCon certainly works very good for this purpose. Monitoring through the day also is good though if you are constantly having to remove the ring because of something you are doing with your hands, perhaps this might not be the best solution. One fear based upon reading on the Internet is battery longevity. The Internet suggests that the ring's battery will loose the ability to hold a charge in a year's time. Likely this could be because of the very small battery embedded in the ring is worked hard and over a year time gives up. The battery is not replaceable given it is encased in epoxy that seals the ring such that you can wash with the ring on. Apparently there is a trade in option and I believe the cost is $100. Which suggests that the long term cost of using the ring is not a usage fee, but $10/month given the battery wears out. Likely the competition isn't saying this such that their cost of operation is their monthly fee plus whatever it costs to replace their ring in a year or so... Would I buy this again? I want to say no. I found that after a month I learned all I needed from the data and the data wasn't changing. In the end it cost me the price of the ring to learn to solve why I wasn't getting a good night's sleep. Though it could be said that the ring's cost was cheap if that is the case.

Company is engaged
Came upon Ring Conn in my research for a smart ring. Looked at the competitors extensively and found Ring Conn met and or exceeded what I was looking for. Essentially it checked all of the boxes. Ordered the Ring sizing kit that is available and pulled the trigger. I was pleases/satisfied with the rings function and it's interface with the app. (No subscriptions btw). About 8 months in, the battery began having issues with operating duration. I skeptically reached out to the company. What I was expecting and what transpired caught me by surprise. Their reply was speedy, concerned and action oriented. They asked a few questions and in a matter of days, a replacement Ring arrived complete with instructions to move data over and included return supplies. The replacement functions as intended and fit and finish is as new. Ring Conn's response and corrective action was engaged and thorough. Impressive and exceeded my expectations. My message to them is included as the entire process was top level. "I have received everything as expected and I believe i successfully disconnected the old ring from my info. I feel the replacement process went very well and exceeded my expectations. I would be happy to provide a review of the process or you could use this reply. There were no bumps or hiccups to complicate the process. I found everyone to be helpful and the goal seemed to be a positive problem free process. Which was successful. I appreciate your attention to the matter as if I was the only one that mattered. Thank you for your assistance and the goal was obvious. To make things right. You did!" I would not hesitate to conduct another transaction with them. All positive!

Love it way more than my Whoop
I switched from a Whoop, in part because it still wasn't totally comfortable sleeping with it on, and because the annual subscription was so expensive... I was originally waiting for the Ringconn Gen 3 to come out, but then I lost my Whoop charger on a plane, so I ended up grabbing the Gen 2... So happy I did! I may upgrade later, but honestly, the Ringconn Gen 2 is ticking all my boxes so far. It's super comfortable to wear, I normally wear it on my middle finger of my right hand (I'm left handed) but it also fits perfectly on my index finger, so I can switch it over if I get that soft soggy white ring rash, and just wear it for a few days on the other finger. The battery life is great, I just got into a routine of charging it on a Sunday afternoon while I'm chilling, and it only takes an hour or so to fully charge. It still has a few days charge left if I'm busy and don't get to do it on a Sunday, but I like the routine. I wear an Apple Watch Ultra for most of my fitness tracking, but the Rigconn actually picks up those short duration activities that the Apple Watch doesn't... spend 20-30 mins mixing and laying concrete or doing yard work, and Ringconn picks it up, while the Apple Watch typically won't. I also like that it's measuring the morning light exposure during the first hour after wake up... this one surprised me, but it's actually using it's sensors to detect the intensity and color of the light after you wake up... getting natural sunlight after you wake up helps depress melatonin production and improves wakefulness... it gives you a running measure of your wake up light exposure and differentiates between natural and artificial light! The app seems to be constantly improving. This was the one perceived weakness with Ringconn, but I can honestly say that I have seen clear signs that they are actively developing the app in the right direction, and also that they have been extremely responsive to user feedback... the responses to questions and feedback have been way more than canned or AI generated replies, they truly seem to welcome and respond to feedback. I love the no subscription model, and that they openly share data with Apple Health so it drives other apps as well if I want more specialized focus, but honestly, I think they are quietly building out their app in all the right areas, and I'm loving the platform. I have friends with other devices, and the Ringconn seems generally more compact and wearable than most I've seen. I'm so glad I switched, and I won't feel bad if I invest later in the Gen 3, but I don't feel like I'm missing anything now, so it will be because it offers something else I want, not because it fixes a gap in the current iteration!

No Subscription Required, But a New Update Removed All Functionality from the device.
Edit: Beware- Do Not Waste your Money! I ended up liking this device more than I first suspected. I got used to using the rings and found the sleep and other data easy to understand and correlate. I had decided to edit my review and give it 5 stars, despite the difficulties with the ring not accommodating my wheelchair use. That is, until yesterday. For some reason, the developers released an update that removed everything I loved about the device and replaced it with nothing useful. You can no longer tell when you were asleep or awake; there are no sleep-stage data graphs, and the graphic representation of movement disappeared as well. The smart ring became stupid with the speed of an update. I've sent feedback to the developer, but I don't expect a reasonable reply. I don't know why they removed all functionality from what was an excellent smart ring with easy-to-understand graphs and no subscription fees. As far as I can tell, they haven't added a subscription fee yet, but they've trashed the usefulness of a good device and replaced it with nothing. I wouldn't recommend this smart ring to anyone as it is currently non-functional. Hopefully, enough people will provide feedback, and the developers will consider returning the ring’s original functions and graphs. Pros I like the fit, color, and look of this smart ring. I did order the sizing kit. I suggest that anyone contemplating purchasing this ring try on the different sizes. I would have ordered the wrong size had I not tried the sizing kit first. It's more comfortable than I had expected. I am not used to wearing rings, and I expected it to be bulky and annoying, but a few hours after putting it on, I forgot it was there. I really like that there’s no subscription. The ring does an adequate job of monitoring sleep, heart rate, O2, and most other measurements. The battery life appears to be as advertised, which is a plus. I've found that most electronic devices advertise longer battery life than my experience shows, so it's refreshing to see that the developers of this device were honest in their advertising. I appreciate this, as I rarely encounter it in practice. Cons However, it has difficulty deciding how to categorize exercise. I am disabled and wheelchair bound. Apparently, there is no way to inform the program of this fact, which has it misunderstand my activity level. I would like to see an option added to the programming to accommodate people with physical disabilities, including those who use mobility devices such as canes, walkers, and wheelchairs. The most annoying thing about the app, however, is that the date is off by 1 day. I want a way to manually set the date, since it doesn't automatically adjust to the correct date. Another thing that slightly bothers me is that the sleep reports aren't as detailed as those from an Apple Watch or a Fitbit. I assume that’s because there's no subscription, but I could be wrong. Overall, there would need to be significant changes to earn more stars in my review. I haven't tried other smart rings, except for an inexpensive one I purchased some time ago that had a very short battery life and wasn't comparable to today’s smart rings. If the developers fixed the few issues I had with this ring, I would recommend it without reservation. But since I haven't tested it against the competition, I can say it's worth looking into for now. The time between charges is impressive, and it does have the benefit of no subscription fee. These two things alone make it worth looking into.

Great tracking and battery life, but the black finish scratches easily
I’m very happy with my RingConn ring overall. Functionally, it does exactly what I wanted it to do. I really appreciate how much it tracks, and it has been a good fit for my needs. Being able to get it with my FSA card was also a huge plus. The charging setup is simple, and the battery life has been great. I don’t feel like I’m constantly having to worry about keeping it charged, which makes it much easier to wear daily. My only real complaint is the durability of the black finish. I work with my hands a lot, and with normal day-to-day handling of different materials, the ring has picked up scratches pretty quickly. The ring itself still works great, but cosmetically the black version does not seem to hold up very well if you use your hands a lot for work. Overall, I really like the ring and would recommend it for the tracking features, comfort, charging, and battery life. I just wish the black finish was more scratch resistant, especially for people who wear it while working.

I like the RingConn 2 a lot! After 6 months still happy!
I like the RingConn 2 a lot! After 6 months still happy! I selected RingConn 2 mainly because of the Sleep Apnea data. ...But I weighed a lot of factors including price and reviews. Also, my Cardiac implant (loop recorder) stopped working, so this was a way to replace some of that data. PHONE APP - The phone app is pretty good, somewhat intuitive, but I liked the pre-May 2026 app version better. CHARGING - The charger module has a battery inside, so you put it inside to charge, slide it in you pocket and continue to count your steps. - It can go well over a week without needing a charge (11 -14 days). - Sleep Apnea mode reduces this time, whereas it is doing more continuous monitoring of vitals. FIT It fit me perfect (I used the ring-sizer for the other 2 major brands in big-box stores to get my size) SERVICE - At about 5 months, my ring no longer charged. - RingConn Support gave me some trouble shooting tips. - Then replaced it with no hassle, they even let me change the color to gold.

Good but Battery not great.
The RingConn Gen 2 Smart Ring is an ultra-lightweight, impressively thin wearable that features a sleek design and highly accurate health data tracking, though the battery performance degrades noticeably after six months of daily use. ⭐⭐⭐ Accurate Data Tracking and Comfort, but Battery Degrades Fast Over Time "I was incredibly excited to buy the RingConn Gen 2, especially since it is the first smart ring to offer a dedicated sleep apnea monitoring feature. From a design standpoint, it is a triumph. It is unbelievably thin, lightweight, and so comfortable that I completely forget I am wearing it. I have also been deeply impressed by the tracking accuracy. Unlike other wearables, the step counter is spot-on, the sleep data aligns perfectly with my actual patterns, and the heart rate monitoring is incredibly reliable even during intense workouts. Unfortunately, the longevity of the battery leaves a lot to be desired. While it initially lasted well over a week on a single charge right out of the box, the battery performance has dropped off a cliff after just six months of daily wear. I am now lucky if I get three to four days of use before needing to pop it back into the charging case. It is a beautiful piece of hardware with fantastic, dependable software tracking, but the rapid battery degradation over time is a major disappointment for a premium device." ## Product Breakdown * Ultra-Thin Form Factor: Exceptionally slim and lightweight layout that offers maximum comfort for 24/7 continuous wear. * Highly Accurate Metrics: Delivers incredibly reliable sleep stage data, heart rate tracking, and precise step counting during daily activities. * Advanced Sleep Health: Introduces specialized sleep apnea screening metrics alongside standard blood oxygen measurements. * Noticeable Battery Degradation: Standalone battery life drops significantly after six months of continuous charging cycles, requiring much more frequent recharges. Verdict: An outstanding health tracker that sets a high standard for comfort and data accuracy, but is held back by disappointing long-term battery endurance. ------------------------------

Battery Issues (UPDATED!) PLEASE READ!!
UPDATE! I can't say enough about the customer service I received. Prompt responses and very friendly. They made this a quick and very easy process to resolve the issue. They are sending me a new replacement ring AND issuing a full refund. Putting everything into perspective, I'm going to go ahead and give 5 stars. I thought about just 4 since I did have the battery issue and have seen others say they had the same issue but the customer service ABSOLUTELY BLEW ME AWAY and MORE than made up for that. Maybe it's just me, but I hold a very high appreciation for companies who actually take care of you these days. The new app update looks amazing and can't wait to try it out when my new ring gets here. Just all around super satisfied even though there was an issue with the first one. I would say it's DEFINITELY worth taking a chance on this ring over the other competitors Only lasted 4 months before the battery stopped holding a charge. Great while it worked but nowhere near what i expected on longevity. Went from having 11 days on a single charge to maybe 12 hours max. I have contacted RingConn and am waiting on a response and will update accordingly.
