Great value and quality product and fragrance free and sulfate free. Cleans nicely without stripping the moisture out of your scalp and ends. I have relatively oily hair and it cleans very well and I use it every other day with the conditioner by CeraVe. Great value and quality product and good results from my months of using it. I have dandruff and I use ketoconazole shampoo twice a week in between the CeraVe. Highly recommend it and will continue to buy it again and again. Rich lather and makes my hair soft and manageable. I have fine and thin hair which I am using minoxidil every day as well. Very shiny and beautiful hair

I picked up this CeraVe Gentle Hydrating Shampoo because my scalp gets dry easily and a lot of shampoos feel too stripping with regular use. After using it consistently, I’m really happy with how it performs. The formula is lightweight and easy to work through the hair, even though it doesn’t lather aggressively. It cleans well without that squeaky, dried-out feeling afterward. My hair feels soft, smooth, and comfortable once it’s dry, and my scalp doesn’t feel tight or irritated like it sometimes does with other shampoos. There’s no strong scent, which I appreciate, especially if you’re sensitive to fragrance or prefer something neutral. It also pairs well with other conditioners and styling products without causing buildup. Doesn’t cause excessive shine. Haven’t noticed any hair growth from this product but it’s doesn’t claim to increase growth. This is a great everyday shampoo if you want something gentle, moisturizing, and low-maintenance. If you’re looking for heavy clarifying or lots of foam, this may not be the best fit — but for keeping hair clean and healthy without dryness, it does exactly what it promises.

For context: I have very dry skin with psoriasis flare ups sometimes on my scalp. I flake like a Parmesan shaker and itch like crazy but I don't have dandruff (which is caused by a fungus and my issues are not). This shampoo is the most basic shampoo you can get. Theres no added fragrance that I noticed. It cleans hair well and lathers nicely. For my scalp itself it feels hydrating and has helped reduce some flaking and itch. That being said, it’s not making a huge difference alone. I also use a tsal shampoo once a week and that with my normal wash routine, this shampoo works good enough. Cons: I find it actually drys the ends of my hair a lot. I did try the corresponding conditioner with it and it’s not the best for hair. Though, I used it as a scalp treatment and that seemed to help that portion. I just used my normal conditioner for the ends. The packaging isn't very luxurious feeling-but this is what it is- the most basic shampoo you can use that avoids the stuff peoples skin tends to hate. Id buy the shampoo again but not the conditioner. Plus it is affordable.

Honestly really impressed with the quality of this shampoo for the price. It’s so silky soft, lathers so well, makes my scalp feel hydrated and clean, is fragrance free so non irritating, and leaves my hair feeling soft and clean. Couldn’t ask anymore from a shampoo that’s priced so well!

I feel like I've spent way too much money trying different shampoos, and this is one of the few that actually made my scalp feel better without making my hair feel greasy. I have really fine hair, so I'm always worried about anything "hydrating" weighing it down. That wasn't the case at all. My hair still feels clean and light, but my scalp doesn't feel tight or itchy anymore. I've seriously tried just about everything and spent so much money on shampoos over the years. This one is under $10 and honestly works so well. Sometimes I have to shampoo twice before I get those big, foamy suds, but to me that's actually a good sign. It tells me it's cleaning my hair instead of just creating a bunch of lather from harsh ingredients. The funny part is my boyfriend started using it too, and now he completely swears by it. He actually threw out his old shampoo because he wanted to avoid all the added fragrances and unnecessary ingredients. Now we both use this. I do still use a higher-end conditioner and leave-in products afterward since my hair is fine and color-treated, but this shampoo has officially earned a permanent spot in my shower.

After using this product every day for the past two months-ish Pros: This product has ingredients that are not harmful and I feel confident that they cause no issues on my skin. I had absolutely zero negative skin reactions which I do have with other products. The texture of it going into my hair was also great. Giant note: this shampoo made me finally discover that I am low level allergic to fragrances in shampoos and conditioners. Usually I experience scalp itchiness and for some products I no longer use it can get intense and I can't stop itching my scalp all day and night. This product caused ZERO itch, and I only realized this when I switched back to a different shampoo brand and immediately experienced itching with the first wash. However the itching was a lot less than other brands and as you will see, the cons of this product made switching back a sad but inevitable decision for me. Cons: Immediately made my hair tangly and frizzy ( it became painful to run my fingers through my hair.) Did not cut the scalp oil and so I could no longer go even a single day between washes (I could if I supplemented with a different brand of shampoo but that's not the goal I was aiming for.) The accompanying conditioner did nothing to help the friz either. Did not leave my hair glossy and silky but it did feel hydrated it just didn't look good. I also noticed a slight increase in dandruff because I was scrubbing so hard to try and get all the oil out of my hair, and I wouldn't even say I have oily hair in general. When my very fine hair became tangled it was a chore to brush it out and made me feel like the amount of force I had to put in was pulling hairs out, plus it didn't feel very brushed afterwards but still frizzy and catching my fingers when I ran them through. Immediately when I used a different brand of shampoo for one day: My friz was almost gone My hair looked visibly glossy and silky It cut all the oil so I could go my normal two days between hair washes I could run my fingers straight through my hair again with only one or two slight snags After the second wash: Friz virtually none-existant Hair still looks glossy and silky When my hair became tangled, brushing it out was easy and it stayed looking brushed Overall, if you are looking for a product you feel safe putting on your body and alo will not cause you to have bad skin reactions, this product is for you. I didn't try using apple cider vinegar to see if it would help the shine or tangle because I just don't want to have fifty products in my shower and take forever to wash my hair, but I'd be super curious if anyone has tried that combo. I don't think they can fix the issues I mentioned without compromising on the cleanness of the ingredients so I will use up my bottle and probably not buy again.
