This will be perfect for my husband's Halloween costume. (Late 1800's 'The Guilded Age' vampire.) It's kind of that shiny polyester fabric, but it's about what I would expect for this type of costume. The black, is a true deep black. The jacket fits great. I he has a 44-in chest and the extra large fit well. He has a 34-in waist and the pants were too big, but that is what belts are for! :) When you get a set, it's kind of what you'd expect and you need to fit the sort of biggest area (in our case shoulders for freedom of movement). Includes everything we would need for our costume.

Worked out well for a last minute costume, surprisingly good quality. Now, is the fabric stellar, or the buttons sewn with exquisite care? No. It's clearly meant as a costume piece, not actual formalwear. But for its intended purpose, it outdoes much of the competition. It is lined inside, and the fit was accurate, albeit maybe a little tight across the back. Overall one of the better costume jackets I've bought.

You get what you pay for, and this is a cheap tux. The first time I put the pants on the closure clasp came off and I had to safety pin the pants together. Do yourself a favor and buy something nicer. Even though it was for just a one-time event I wish I'd bought something better. I do not recommend buying this.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This worked great as a costume for a play but I don't feel the quality would be sufficient for a formal event like a prom. Also, the pants are unheeded -- just long and have a serged bottom, so you have to hem them yourself or pay someone to do it. But it served our purposes adequately. One of the benefits is that it fits a slim individual pretty well (I could've ordered a size smaller even). I would beware if you are husky.

Great quality for the price! I used the jacket and bow tie as part of a costume recently and they greatly exceeded my expectations for that purpose. Seams were all good, fit was consistent. Some compromises were made -- the fabric appears synthetic and has a light texture and shimmer but is nice enough, the backs of the buttons are plastic, and there are no interior pockets. The shoulders give a little bit of a padded appearance.

For those that think this is a real tux, it’s definitely not, it’s a costume. It’s very see through (the white version at least) so you need to wear something under the pants to prevent your legs from showing. It did the trick for the 80s prom night we dressed up for but it will now go to Goodwill. The cummerbund and bow tie are junk so find a better quality one on Amazon. I had issues with keeping suspenders attached to the pants as the material is not cotton or wool and is very slick and thin. Lastly, it wrinkles like a son of a gun. I steam ironed it even though it said not to iron and it worked pretty good. You could also try dry cleaning to get the wrinkles out and starch it.

I am a 5 ft 1 in petite female and the pants are almost too small but the tuxdeo top is just about perfect so BEWARE if you are a larger person than me! They arrived heavily creased so if you want to iron the outfit, do so with care and hope for the best. I wouldn't wear this to a wedding but they're a great value for the money and perfect as part of a Halloween party costume...and Rocky Horror Picture Show partier : ).
