Pricey! I love it, though and it was the best value of all I could find online.

This piece of marble is a great size. I've removed the rubber feet from the bottom and the adhesive. I cleaned it and I use it on top of my soapstone wood stove. It protects the soapstone from stains from coffee mugs and other things I place on top of my stove. Even though one side of the marble is polished it's definitely not sealed. Marvel is way more porous than I thought it would be. It's been stained for me not immediately cleaning the stone. It seems to be holding up well to possible thermal shock. I've put coal to Dutch ovens on it multiple times and is still in one piece. Polished side is very nice and smooth. Would make a great charcuterie board. Keep in mind that the large piece of marble weighs a fair amount and is something to keep in mind.

Works great as a 5th burner cover. I recently got a new range and I lost that little bit of work space you usually get in the center of the cooktop. The range came with a griddle to go there, but it is too large and gets in the way of you have cookware on the other 4 burners. I rarely use the 5th burner and this cutting board gives me back that little space where we all like to rest our cooking utensils. It’s Maeve, so I know it is fragile, but it probably won’t get handled much and marble can withstand upwards of 480 degrees Fahrenheit.

This is pretty...and will stay on my counter top for slicing fruits and vegetables, which I do often. Glad I bought it...pretty and functional.

Arrived broken and couldn't get a replacement.

I used this as a base for a glass vase and it's gorgeous!
