Most people don't struggle with Electrical Engineering because it's too difficult. They struggle because nobody explains it in a way that shows how everything connects. They memorize formulas. Watch YouTube videos. Read textbooks. Take classes. And still feel like they're missing something. That's because most people learn Electrical Engineering as a collection of separate topics instead of one connected system . Step-by-Step Electrical Engineering was written to change that. Designed to be completed in just 21 days , this book helps you build the foundation that many beginners spend months trying to piece together from videos, articles, textbooks, and scattered learning resources. No prior background required. Inside, you'll learn how to: Understand how voltage, current, resistance, and power work together Read and understand electrical circuits with confidence Learn the fundamentals of AC and DC systems Understand the purpose of essential electrical components Apply electrical concepts to real-world situations Build a strong foundation for exams, career growth, technical work, or personal projects What makes this book different? Instead of overwhelming you with unnecessary math and technical jargon, it focuses on understanding first . Each chapter builds naturally on the last. The result is a learning experience that feels clear, practical, and easy to follow . Readers consistently describe this book as: Easy to understand Beginner friendly Practical Well organized A great refresher for professionals One reader said it best: "It takes a subject many people treat as mystical and turns it into clear, structured, practical knowledge." Whether you're a student, aspiring engineer, technician, electrician, or self-learner, this book will help you understand the core principles that everything else in Electrical Engineering is built on. Imagine opening a circuit diagram and actually understanding what you're looking at. Stop memorizing disconnected concepts. Start understanding how Electrical Engineering actually works. Click "Buy Now" and start building your foundation today. Review: A great starting point or refresher - I bought this to read as a refresher as it's been some years since I studied the subject at college. It's a great intro to the subject covering all the basic electrical principles without lots of maths. The author also adds in some interesting and fun facts on the topics to give it a bit of real world context. This serves as a good starting point or as a refresher if you're a bit rusty on the subject as I was, and it's inspired me to dig deeper into the subject of electrical engineering and study further. Review: Step-by-Step Electrical Engineering by Gregor Haynes - Gregor Haynes has produced something quietly impressive here. Step-by-Step Electrical Engineering does exactly what it promises. It takes a subject many people treat as mystical and turns it into clear, structured, practical knowledge. The explanations are clean, the visuals are genuinely helpful, and the tone never talks down to the reader. It is the kind of book I wish more beginners picked up before rushing ahead. Solid, accessible and surprisingly enjoyable, it gives anyone a confident starting point in a world powered by electrons.

Electrical engineering book
Seems like a useful book, I have studied some engineering at university and electrical work at college. This book has good basics of how electrons work and gives good examples of AC and DC and what applications they are used for. It also gives the basic equations and formulas for working out voltages, power, current and resistance. Also some good exercises, I have not used the barcodes yet for the online stuff or read the book but I look forward to doing both. I do electronics as a hobby. I was hoping to work as an engineer or electrician but that has not worked out for me. I have turned my house off grid though and enjoy building electronics kits.

Great Learning Resource!
I have read through about half of it so far. But it's been very helpful. For someone who has no knowledge this is a great resource and at a decent price too. Definitely Keeping an eye out for new books!

Even an 81yo electronics virgin can follow this!!
Not only have i already learned much from the first two chapters but Gregor (author) has been so helpful as i have needed to contact himm over a couple difficulties i have had. I am 81yo and have at last decided to set out on electrical work for model railways (newbie MERG member.) Never thought I would get a grasp of this (to me) complicated subject. Thank you Gregor for all your help.

An excellent, easy to read intro to electronics
This is a great introduction to electronic principles. The author has done an excellent job of providing just enough detail to remain introductory without oversimplifying things or diving too deep. Examples are given at key points that align well with the reading. At multiple points I found myself formulating questions while reading on a particular topic and then having them answered in the following paragraph. One thing I particularly enjoyed was the "Curiosities and Further Insights" sections at the end of the chapters. Final note, the book is very well written, both in style and grammatically. Especially for a technical topic, this is easy to read. Job well done!

Sorry, but this is not step-by-step.
Sorry, but this is not step-by-step. This books throws complicated concepts at the reader from the start, killing every bit of momentum that there was. The content itself is (probably) fine but this book is not what it is set out to be.
