Really like it. Haven't tried them freshly ground, but when it comes to Lavazza pods - they are better for me than other brands. Just the right amount of flavor and boldness.

I ordered these Lavazza capsules to try to find an alternative to Nespresso capsules of which I have tried many different types and found lacking in well-balanced flavor and were priced quite high. I spend a great deal of time in Italy and am spoiled by the wonderful coffee served to me in cafes as well as the coffee I prepared in my accomodations. Lavazza is one of the most popular and highly-rated brands sold throughout Italy, so I decided this would be a logical choice. To my delight, it proved to be of high quality at a much more reasonable price. The coffee makes a lovely crema which is usually consistent with a higher quality brew. It is aromatic, well-balanced, and robust without being sour or bitter. I now have a subscription and look forward to my deliveries. I highly recommend this brand to all seeking an alternative Nespresso compatible solution, and hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Bester tasting espresso; much better than the coffees that were included with my Nespresso Essenza Mini and milk frother. I bought the nespresso because I wanted a "no fuss" cappuccino occasionally, without storing and grinding more beans (still make pour over coffee for the mornings). I was considering returning my machine because the coffee just wasn't that good. I went to look for third party capsules. I have always felt Illy makes the best espresso for a proper machine, but their capsules are prohibitively expensive, so I went with the Lavazza capsules (always a distant 2nd, in my opinion) Thankfully, I was not disappointed! The first brew was fantastic, exactly what I was looking for. Very thick creme, deep taste. I highly recommend these capsules. Concerns people have posted I have not experienced. Sometimes there is little bit of water that comes out at the beginning. But it's a tiny amount and only happens about 50% of the time. It could be a machine issue, not a capsule issue. As for loading the capsules, it's true, they sit in the channel deeper than the Nespresso capsules, and look like they will not go in, but, I have *never* had one fail to load. So don't worry, these capsules do fit! I am looking to purchase their Lungo capsules soon, so look for my review on those!

Of all the Nespresso-compatible options that I have tried so far, to me this is the best. It has that smooth, rich aroma that gives you that happy feeling when you're making coffee. The taste is very smooth and slightly sweet. I've used it for lungo and it works when I want a misto or more American style coffee. It's more affordable than the name-brand nespresso pods and I think the flavor is better than the majority. My only issue is the design of the pod makes it slip right through the slot so sometimes (I have a Breville nespresso Creatista machine) I'll think I put it in and when I press the button to brew, it's just hot water and the unused pod is in the discard tray. I haven't figured out a trick to really perfect that, so I just keep inserting until it stays. Very minor, and very worth it!!

This does not have a coffee taste. It’s like dark water. Description does not match the weak coffee capsules received. After tasting one capsule of coffee, I tryed to send them back, was was denied by Amazon. Most Lavazza coffee I have had has been very good. These capsules taste nothing like a decent coffee, Money down the drain!!!!!

Nice flavor but recently have had some packs come in damaged or pods tasting old.

I’ve been looking for a more affordable alternative to the Nespresso branded capsules over the last year, and it took several brands before I found Lavazza. Every other third party capsule I tried from Amazon had this stale, off odor and taste. Honestly they were some of the worst coffees I’ve had and a far cry from the first-party capsules. Lavazza is the first brand that has been comparable in taste to Nespresso. Armonico is my favorite and compares well to my favorite Nespresso blend, Arpeggio. I thought Decisio was a bit too bitter for my taste and Avvologente a bit too tame with less flavor than I like. In summary I’m very happy to have found these. I can’t say they completely equal the flavor of the Nespresso branded capsules, but they are very close, and therefore I feel a good value.

I bought quite a lot of boxes and found that the expiry date was just a few months away. I like Lavazza but supplier should be more transparent about the product it’s selling.

These are perfect for someone looking for that espresso taste to cut through the milk in a latte. Nice balance, well roasted, with that little bit extra bitterness to cut through milk based drinks.

Excellent Lavazza flavour that would you expect from a reputable brand, but now Nespresso compatible!
