My favorite little pot.
Love this pot better than the other expensive pots out there. It makes my white, yellow and rice and beans prefect and it reminds me of my Beautiful Dominican Republic.

Caldero - great pot not so great top
Great size. Cooks well, just like a caldero would. The top is a cool plus, but not ideal for the regular top. The steam burned my hand a bit. I would have liked another regular pot top with a handle on top not the sides.

I purchased a 2 quart one previously, seasoned it well and I’ve been cooking perfect rice and other dishes without any issues. When I saw this which is bigger than the previous plus the versatility of the lid I went ahead and ordered it, both are a bit rough on the edges, nothing that a metal file or heavy duty sandpaper can’t fix. Just make sure you season it before cooking just like you would cast iron and it becomes nonstick, I wouldn’t put it in the dishwasher, hand wash only and you won’t have to season it every time you use but if properly done is super easy to wash. All around I’m happy with the quality and price.
