I have always liked Hormel chili. Hearty single serve cans. Will buy again.

No beans about it Hormel chilly is good It is tasty and cheap When you feel in the mood On the stove in a pan Or microwave in a bowl Pour it on chips and it with cheese Make some nachos if that is your goal It’s thick meaty texture Will slurp from the can It’s easy to make I am a fan

AN OLD RELIABLE FOR US!
We sometimes have hotdogs, baked beans, potato chips, and slaw while watching sports events. This Hormel chili with no beans is very, very good on hotdogs. Add a little bit of chopped onions, and you are, well, kind of like the famous "Varsity," in Atlanta. EASY to heat in a covered microwave safe container, it is FASTER than making my own. This is a brown, rich, meaty chili too! Now, it MAY run a bit, so I heat it to a boil, actually, to evaporate some of the runniness. Hotdogs ready, onions chopped. Beans and slaw ready. Quick, sporty meal!

Note the small can size
Notice that this can is not as big as the can you normally buy. It is the size of a Campbell's soup can (10 oz). There's nothing wrong with that, but pay attention. I just assumed it was standard size, and was surprised. I used this chili to make a recipe I named Cowboy Lasagna. It's just like an Italian lasagna, except I use this chili instead of spaghetti sauce. I use cheddar cheese or Mexican spiced cheese. I chop green olives and include them in the ricotta cheese layer. I tried this just to use leftover lasagna noodles and ricotta cheese. It turned out so well that I will make this again. It was a big hit. Also, this small can size is good for making just a few chili dogs.
