Surprisingly works with Genki Audio Adapter
I picked it up quite. Awhile ago as the slickest way of using tabletop mode and charging at my desk with my computer. It works, it's portable, and is a phenomenal stand, while charging and not. Recently, I began bringing it to work with me for use as a media screen to free up real estate on my work machine. Tired of swapping my headset back and forth, I decided to give it a go plugging in my Genki adapter, as I would not be super sad if my switch bit the dust at this point. To my surprise, the switch recognizes the adapter and will charge. It's not a perfect fit, and the Genki does partially support a small amount of the weight, but it does function. For science I also tested how much information can be sent through. The Genki worked plugged directly in, and with a USB C to A OTH adapter plugged in, and the Genki USB A adapter in use as well. I can confirm that using a USB C extender cable plugged in to the dock will power the switch, and light up the LED to indicate the switch is docked, but no combination of directions will display video on the screen. I was unable to test a wired controller or a USB Ethernet adapter as I could not find them when testing, but if I get a chance I will update.

Small, useful, & expensive
Don't get me wrong, this stand works great. It's small so it travels well and allows pass through charging via wall adapter or battery bank. It's also A LOT more stable than the kickstand built into the switch for tabletop mode. Overall I'm glad I bought it but jeez $20 seems like a lot of money after you get this tiny wonder widget in your hand. After unboxing you will wonder why this didn't come with the Switch in the first place. At $10 it would be an accessory you couldn't do without. At regular price, you need to think if you really need one or just want to add it on to your wish list.

Worth it!
After reading some reviews I feel obligated to write my own. First and foremost, PLEASE understand that the product description reads that this is ONLY THE STAND! So why are people SOOOO PERPLEXED that it doesn’t come with a charger. So let me guess for $20 you want this to be a stand, dock, carrying case, charger, and cook you some breakfast?? This is a first party device meaning this will not damage or fry your console like 3rd party devices are known for. This is ideal for on the go play. At work during my break and lunch I find a table and I bust out my stand and dock my switch on it and get some gameplay in. I use the power cable that came with the switch, and I also have a PRO Controller (which also came with an OEM cable) so I use that also. When my battery is low I charge and play. Charges very fast and holds the charge well. When I’m done charging my switch I unplug the cord from the stand, leave the switch docked, and I charge my pro controller. It’s convenient, efficient, and such a useful tool. AGAIN, this isn’t meant to replace your dock, so no it doesn’t have HDMI ports or USB ports, it’s strictly designed to put on a desk or flat surface and get some gameplay in while charging your device. It’s super sturdy and super grippy. Ive never encountered any issues with it sliding or getting weak etc..

Super Tiny but Works Perfectly-- PROS/CONS BELOW
I use this in conjunction with the Anker Switch Battery (both) and this charges the switch perfectly fine. No issues. PROS: size: super portable due to small size stability: very stable, will not fall over unless you... punch the Switch or throw something really hard at it (no I did not test this and I will not, and you should not either). It's perfect FOR NORMAL SITUATIONS. None of those weird highly specific situations certain YouTubers put their products through charging: does not limit charging speed; the Switch will do all that for you so don't worry; you won't damage your Switch with this CONS: I guess the price, but $20 is fine for this. It is first party, so you'd expect it to be "pricy." Some would probably want this to be $10 with the function it has, but if this was $10, there would also be people saying it should be cheaper. So no real cons in my opinion

Nice addition for my Switch
I was getting annoyed by the cable being plugged into the bottom of the Switch while trying to play. This little device worked perfectly with the side-port charging and the adjustable stand is slightly better than the built-in Switch stand. There is definitely room for improvement: it needs to be wider, and it needs a clip to secure it to the Switch (it can be easily knocked off).

Fried my switch
I tossed my switch onto this as soon as it came in. I went to play a game and it wouldn't power on, so I unplugged the dock and plugged the charger straight into my switch. I left it overnight with no power. I checked that the charger itself was working by changing it out, and plugging the charger into a friends switch. Honestly really disappointed in Nintendo with this one. I contacted there customer service and was told that I would need to call them. Sadly I work overnights so I am unable to do this right now. I will update with the response from Nintendo. Right now I am looking at dropping $89.00 for there repair fee since my switch no longer has a warranty.

Does Exactly what it is designed for - Official Product returns Better Quality
It's a bit pricey, but it's significantly better than any other charging stand solution out there. I often want to play while on the go, but do not always want to hold the device in hand. This stand provides the freedom to be able to play long durations whether or not while on a charge. There are other stands, however this is the most compact form available, with the notch providing stability to the Switch while it is mounted despite its small size. That being said, the best use case I've encountered for this product so far, is while on very long plane flights. I bring along a powered joycon grip and put the Switch in a stand on the fold out tray, which is by far much more practical than the flimsy stand and allows for long periods while getting charged. Charging speed depends on your source, but with the appropriate wattage cord, or battery pack (2.0 18w output). This dock will funnel power faster than your device will drain, as does the original dock does. Used it on a 16 hour leg from Boston to Tokyo, and for travel's sake this was more comfortable than expected.

It's not a USB-C passthrough, no docking possible, kind of flimsy and overpriced for what it does.
For $20, this stand should have more features than just being a stand with a Big N logo and relocating the charging port. The USB-C connectors on this unit do not have all of the pins wired for a dock passthrough, meaning that only power is running through this. If you connect an extension USB-C cable from your Switch's dock to the female USB-C port on this stand and connect your Switch, it will black out the Switch's screen and change it to docked mode, but your dock will not be outputting video. Bypass this stand and plug that extension cable into your Switch, and voila, it's now in docked mode again but properly outputting video with the added benefit of choosing between having to still use a third-party stand, or just lay it down flat. As for the build quality, it's flimsy and incredibly light. You'll almost need to hold it down to a surface with double-sided tape to keep it from being lifted away or tilted forward/backward by the weight of the charging cable at rest. The other issue presented lies in reliably charging the Switch using this stand. There are three choices: 1. Unplug the power cable from your dock every time you want to plug the unit in. 2. Use a USB wall wart that can put out a proper amount of voltage and amps to at least charge, and possibly play at the same time as a bonus 3. Buy another one of Nintendo's $30 official chargers. If you go with option 3, that's a total of $50 you're spending to get a mediocre experience. I'm sure Nintendo doesn't want to encourage the use of third-party accessories to improve their customers' experiences (and I'm sure they want to charge even more than the price of this stand for you to be able to have an easier dock connection), but it should have taken zero extra effort and cost them pennies per unit to have just made this a fully pinned-out USB-C passthrough. If this charging stand had a rocker switch to change from charging mode to dock passthrough mode, I'd be more than willing to pay $30 for that.. but if you can get ahold of one of these for $10, or with an official charger for $35 or less, go for it. At the price that this is, it just feels like a ripoff.

Perfect for Playing in a Chair
This is exactly what I needed but didn’t know I needed it until I did! Apparently I play too long and I need to charge my Switch so I can keep on playing. With the cord being on the bottom I had to get one of elevated stands. It works but it’s a little awkward to play because of the elevation. It’s hard on my wrists. Enter this little gadget. Personally I think it should come with every Switch but it doesn’t. If you play in a chair or lying in bed then you need this! It keeps the device low and because the charging cable plugs into the side of this there is no cord in the way and no breaking or bending of the cord either. It is very small, surprisingly small but it does pack a punch. The adjustable kickstand is much sturdier than the one on the Switch itself and has many angles unlike the elevated holders that have maybe four or five. It also has a neat safety feature. The USB-C plug allows for slight tilting which will help prevent breakage.

Tamaño ideal
Pensaba que era más grande pero es del tamaño perfecto para la pantalla del Switch. Lo recomiendo ampliamente. Es muy práctico.

Tiny, sturdy great purchase!
Someone mentioned how it was small, I hadn't quite realized how small. It's tiny! But built strudy! I've yet to plug my switch into the TV, as I much prefer to play while sitting on my bed or the sofa. I always have the switch on a flat surface with something propped behind it, so that it doesn't topple over when I'm using its stand. But I can't play with it in this way when I have to charge it. I find it pretty heavy if I play long hours with it in hand and so was looking for a different option. I'm so happy I found this Adjustable Charging Stand! I love how I can prop my switch onto it and how the charging cable plugs into the side so that it doesn't get bent out of shape. Regardless of its tiny size, it's really sturdy and hasn't once toppled over when plugged into my switch. I'm really happy with this purchase!

a solid piece of plastic.. it ought to be for $25
this was a good quality peripheral from Nintendo. It does what it says and reliably so. I'm knocking off 1 star for the practical consideration that Nintendo Switch owners **shouldn't have been forced to spend an extra $25 to both charge and use their game console standing up at all**. The only reason for this device to exist is that the Switch prevent was poorly designed in the first place. It cannot be charged while the integrated kickstand is used because the charging port is on the bottom. Who at Nintendo designed this; and were they FIRED, or PROMOTED for it??
