I played violin as a kid but stopped after high school. Recently I started playing again. I still have my old violin but I have no idea where my tuner went. I was going to stop by my local music store but thought I would check Amazon to see what they have first. Well I’m glad I did because they have a lot of them that you can choose from. This is the one I settled for. The price is decent and it had many good reviews. It doesn’t come with any detailed instructions but I thought its pretty straightforward. You just clip it onto your instrument. Turn it on and you can start adjusting the tuner with a string. It’s very very simple. I live with a few noisy roommates however so I’ll usually do it with my musicians ear plugs in (found them here on Amazon as well). I really like the display. It’s a good size and very easy to read. It also comes with a mini bag that you can use to store the tuner. It’s what I put it in when I’m not using it, that way I know for sure it’s not collecting dust. I’ve been using the tuner on and off for several weeks now and it’s still going strong. From what I understand, the batteries are generally good for many months so I don’t think I’ll have to switch them anytime soon. My only issue is that it seems kind of delicate. The entire device is pretty much plastic…but I guess I can’t expect that much for the price. It does what it’s supposed to do though so I guess that’s all that matters. Hopefully it will last me long enough. I’m thinking that if I’m careful and don’t drop it on the ground it will be fine. Still I am very happy with it. It’s accurate enough for my purposes (though I’m not a professional tuner or anything).

This is a perfect little tuner! A huge plus is that it works perfectly with electric guitars without needing to plug them into an amp. It’s very accurate and easy to read. The only real drawback is that it still uses a Micro-USB charging port instead of the more modern USB-C. Other than that, it’s a great addition to my gear.

I bought the Snark SN5X because I needed a precise, convenient tuner for doing setups on guitars and basses, and I remember having a Snark clip on tuner 10 years ago. They are still the best on the market for value. It’s very low profile and has a very easy to read display. It’s pretty much on par with the tuner in my DAW in terms of pitch accuracy (very accurate), and the lag in response of the display to real time pitch adjustments is hardly noticeable, which I found quite impressive. The plastic and build quality don’t seem to be too cheap, and the rechargeable battery is very convenient. Very portable, very precise, very convenient.

Muy bueno, práctico y fácil de usar. La pantalla se ve muy bien y clara, quizá no se vea de un material muy fuerte pero es resistente y muy bien realizado. Respecto a la precisión también es muy bueno, lo comparé con el de mi hx stomp y me convenció mucho.

Luckily for me, the posh tuner I wanted (4xthe price) was sold out everywhere. This one is excellent, easy to use and easy to see. It's ideal for rehearsals and gigs. The downside is the obvious fragility of the ball joints on each end of the arm... just don't sit on it or anything. I clip it on the carry handle of my amp when not in use so it doesn't get lost or trodden on. Is it accurate... I haven't tested it, but if it sounds ok to me it will sound ok to the drunken punter at the bar.

Ich mache es kurz: Kein Schnick und Schnack dran, tolles, kontrastreiches Display. Läßt sich gut anklemmen und in alle Richtungen bewegen. Für mich perfekt und klare Empfehlung. Ist nach dem Auspacken etwas glatt/schlüpfrig (dort wo man die Klemme bewegt) und flutscht einem leicht aus den Fingern. Dies legt sich jedoch im Laufe der Zeit.

この手のクリップチューナ―は色々使いましたが、ベースギターの低音源（４弦、５弦）に反応が悪いものが多いですが、このＳＮ－５Ｘは良くて、気に入り前の型式から使っています。お友達のベーシスト数名に勧めて皆好評です（当然ギターにも良いです）。前の型式を５年位使いましたが性能の経時劣化はありません（他の型式だと回転部分が甘くなるせいか反応が少しずつ悪くなります）。今回予備で又買いました。反応感度も丁度良く使いやすいです。視認性は最高。もう一つ利点を言うと、シンプルで使いやすいです（私の場合Ａ＝４４０ｈｚ固定で何ら問題はありません）。こんな良いものが千円半ばで買える良い時代です。バッテリーの消費は多いようですが毎日使っても３カ月位は持ちます。
