Before I say anything else, despite what other reviews are claiming, this controller is 100% compatible with Switch 2!!! I didn't even have to update the firmware as the one I received was running v1.01, so was already updated to Switch 2. Anyway, the review.... Having just purchased a Switch 2 at the weekend, was looking for a better controller as I find the joy-cons uncomfortable on the included Switch grip (it's ok, just not for me) Had heard about 8BitDo controllers before and saw this model as being compatible. Don't be caught out by the difference by the wireless/wired models as from what I can see online, the wired model is NOT compatible with Switch 2. I liked the look of this (and price) so checked online and found a few videos with people mentioning things like the hall effect sticks etc, so decided to chance it. For £26 (compared to £75 for the official Pro controller), it is nothing short of exceptional. It worked with my Switch 2 out of the box, and connected as soon as I turned it on and told my Switch to search for controllers. So ignore if you read others saying that it's incompatible, I'm literally watching my kids play DK Bananza right now using it. I understand if it's got older firmware you may have to update it, but you just need a PC for that and it's not difficult (check YouTube). The controller itself feels great in the hands. The buttons are nice and tactile and have a great feel to them when used. The joysticks are smooth and feel durable, and the trigger action is nice as well. Not sure about D Pad responsiveness with fighting games as they're not my thing, but it feels ok to me. I'm sure there are more "techy" people out there who can give you a better description of these points, but that's my average Joe user guide to them. Instructions in the box could be clearer, but that's the same with all of these kind of items I find. Don't really need them much as I don't plan to remap any controls etc, but just could be clearer. Overall, for the price paid, it's worth every penny. I can immediately see me using the Switch 2 more (sorry kids, I know I said it was for you) and this controller makes for a far more comfortable experience than the joy-cons. Not to mention, I could buy 3 of these for almost the same money as an official Pro controller.

Good responsive controller it is also nice and comfortable to hold with a nice texture so your hands don't slip. It feels pretty strong and it looks nice. It connects to the switch 2 fine enough to play your games but I can't wake the system out of sleep mode with the controller for some reason I have to turn it on manually but it works excellent and I find the 8bitdo app to be pretty poor and I shouldn't need a pc to update the controller. It is connected though and it's working fine . I really like it.

It's an ok controller. I was looking to replace my Wii U Pro controller with something that works on the switch 2, and has motion controls. Good: - ZL/ZR buttons are great, nice shape and action. - face buttons are nice - No isues pairing to the switch 2 - motion controls work well - sticks are smooth and snap back satisfyingly ok: - L4/R4 feel ok to press, but not as nice as the face buttons - colour does not look like product photo, the bottom is almost white, and the blue is not as deep. They over-saturated it to make it look nicer, see other reviews for actual colour. - Clearly an X-box controller with the A/B X/Y buttons swapped, my thumb naturally rests over the B button, so might be less comfortable depending on the game. Mario Kart not so good as have to hold A, but probably not an issue for Zelda. - sticks are quite tall compared to the Wii U Pro, so feels weird to me. - centre of D pad moves around when pressing directions, maybe it is designed like this? Bad: - L/R upper sholder buttons feels cheap and clicky, might try replace the switches at some point

I really love this controller. It feels amazing and is very responsive. The gyro works excellent in Mario Galaxy and the hall effect joysticks will last many years. Buttery smooth control the controller melts effortlessly into the hand. I have to mention that I bought this because of the Switch 2 compatibility but it DOES NOT WAKE FROM SLEEP! A little disappointed, but for such an excellent controller that is a third the price of the official one I have no regrets. Hopefully the wake function might be able to be added to an update. Untill then I will happily game away on it.

Bought this controller specifically because it is advertised as allowing you to use their provided software to invert the x/y axes and edit any button mapping - except the app provided for android is useless and only works for a single model of controller (which isn't this one), and when it does work (which is a miracle) the windows software has zero options to create any mapping profiles whatsoever and will only tell you if the firmware is up to date. Other than that just a bog standard third party controller with nothing special about it, and a complete waste of time if you buy it for the features it is advertised to have.

When i ordered this controller, it was because i needed one that felt right. No matter what i order for the switch it usually feels cheap and hollow. This is not one of those items. When i started using it i was very impressed, the thumbsticks are very nice to use (similar to other controllers i like using like the crkd ones) and the buttons are clicky and satisfying. So far i have used it for about 7 hours and i have enjoyed every second. The connecting is very easy to do, and the charging is as simple as using a cable (you would be surprised how many controllers use batteries still). I would recommend this if you want a quality controller with top quality, but you dont want to spend £100 buying some 1st party plastic!

Great design, solid build, and pastel colors that whisper “I game, but make it aesthetic.” The joysticks? Hall effect = zero drift. Butter-smooth. Motion controls? Spot on. Rumble? Subtle but immersive. Battery life? Long enough to question if it even runs on electricity. It even wakes the Switch with a shake. Like a tech wizard. And bonus: extra bumpers (R4/L4) and turbo functions that make me feel like a low-key esports champ. For the price, it punches way above its weight. My Joy-Cons are now just colorful paperweights. Buy it. Love it. Dominate Mario Kart like it owes you money.

It feels great in my hands and plays well. Con: it won't power on a switch 2. I purchased it when I had the original Switch and was surprised when it didn't. I had an issue with charging and customer support was great

Ich nutze den 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Bluetooth Controller jetzt seit etwa zwei Jahren regelmäßig mit meiner Switch und hatte bisher keinerlei Probleme. Für mich ist er im Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sogar die bessere Alternative zum offiziellen Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. Verarbeitung und Bedienung fühlen sich hochwertig an, und die Steuerung ist präzise – besonders die Hall-Effekt-Joysticks sind ein großer Vorteil, da sie langfristig weniger anfällig für Drift sind. Ein Feature, das ich im Alltag wirklich schätze: Man kann mit dem Controller direkt die Konsole einschalten, was den Komfort deutlich erhöht. Vorteile: Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis Präzise Steuerung durch Hall-Effekt-Joysticks Konsole lässt sich direkt per Controller starten Zuverlässig auch bei längerer Nutzung (bei mir seit 2 Jahren problemlos) Nachteile: Design ist Geschmackssache (nicht identisch mit dem Original) Fazit: Ein zuverlässiger und durchdachter Controller, der eine echte Alternative zum Pro Controller darstellt. Wer Geld sparen möchte, ohne auf Qualität zu verzichten, macht hier wenig falsch.

Los botones y los joysticks son grandes y el control se siente más sólido y con mejor agarre que los originales joycons. El rumble puede ser un poco excesivo si estás muy acostumbrado a los originales, pero en lo particular me agrada. El emparejamiento es rápido y sin problemas.
