This is hands down the best thing you can buy a 4+ year old, though you could also get it for a 2-3 year old. Not only is the daily radio program informative and engaging, but the yoto is designed cleverly to be easy to work for toddlers and above. The sound quality is phenomenal, this adds so many quality moments to our days, and we get to use it in so many ways. Drawing cards are a favorite in our household, along with the Chronicles of Narnia series. The mindful piano that came with this is also great for bedtime! The size is so compact that it is great to take on car trips or allow in the bed as littles fall asleep. What a fantastic way to introduce more read alouds and music in a safe, controlled way. This is not only functional, but also engaging, fun, and adds quality to our days.

I can't say enough good things about the Yoto. It's so easy to use, minimal buttons, no screens (yay!), lots of cards to choose from (music, stories, podcasts), and even make-your-own cards! My kids love it and it seems to really calm them and help them travel into their imagination. They listen for hours. My only complaint is that I wish there was an easier way to make playlists for the MYO cards, like maybe mp3 downloads on the Yoto app. As of now you have to have your own mp3 files or just record sounds/music. Overall though a fantastic toy/gift for any kiddo, I'd say ages 3-12. It's a fabulous helper for bedtime with multiple kiddos. Also super durable if your kiddos are rough and rowdy.

Great non screen time toy for kids. Bought for road trip and my two year old has been able to use it wonderfully. Love how you can set the volume max on your phone and it connects to the device to not be so loud. Starter pack cards are awesome, has all your kids favorites. Wheels on the bus, ittsy bittsy spider and more. Great size as well to travel with and take on the go. Wish you could order different color knobs but overall designed well.

My kids (5 and 2.5 yrs) love the Yoto! They listen to it every day and can use it easily without my help. Helps get them down for nap and bedtime (the stories aren’t always “bedtime” related, they just like to listen). The quality and features are great. Comes with several free features like kids’ podcasts, etc. Well worth the price. Can also use without wifi if you prefer. The cards are a bit expensive but I look for sales. Again, worth the money!

Nice music player for a toddler. My 1.5 year old loves it. It seems durable. It’s held up a few months so far. I think it’s easy to use. My toddler hasn’t figured out all the buttons yet but he’s also a little younger than the target age range. I’m sure he’ll figure it out soon but until then he’s able to listen to the music and he really enjoys the nursery songs card.

Absolutely phenomenal! I love that my granddaughter has the independence to listen to her own music and stories, but at our discretion. She uses her imagination. Also, there’s no fear of her getting on any apps and talking with strangers. I just love it. Battery life is great. The sound quality is good. I tell her to keep it in green when she wears headphones. Great cost compared to what you receive.

I do love this, but my toddler who is 2 1/2 hasn’t taken to it as I anticipated she would. She’s very good at hand, coordination and navigating devices and activities and toys, but the knob are not as easy to use for her age group as i had had hoped. I was really debating going with the music player that had the little characters on top instead of the card based system because I didn’t want something bulky but this seems, at least initially, better suited for a slightly older child. I’ve been trying to get her to use it for a month and a half. It’s still a very fun design and concept and I’m sure we will hit the sweet spot but just be aware you never know what your kid gravitates to and why or why not. When it comes to the technical side, the battery life is great. It does also seem very well built. The sound is good and isn’t triggering my overstimulated senses so we will definitely be keeping it around, but unfortunately, it felt a little bit pricey, and I don’t feel great about spending the money when my kid isn’t loving it at the moment.

Great product. The app has lots of free stuff you can get as well (not even just through yoto club). Our 14mo old loves listening to music on it. Very cool that you can use it as a general speaker too. When you’re away from wifi you need to use the cards. The yoto radio and podcast are cool. Our toddler goes to sleep to the sleepy stories every night! Would recommend for sure and think it will only get better as she gets older.

This was a bit more involved to set up initially than I’d expected, but the extra set up is worth it because of the added functionality. The actual unit is very simple to operate for a small child. But from your phone you can also control the unit remotely, back up the story cards so that if you lose one you can upload it to a blank card, and download more content to blank cards. Plus you could play the stories on your phone if you didn’t have the player with you. My son loves it and spends hours listening to stories while he plays with other toys as well. Great alternative to screens, and great for travel as it has a headphone jack. My son gets motion sick if he doesn’t look out the window in the car, so this is the perfect solution for long drives. The sound quality from the tiny little speaker is also surprisingly good for the size. I haven’t seen the full-size Yoto, but to me the mini is the better option for portability. Also has a sleep-timer via the app for bedtime. I’d recommend opening it up and setting it up fully before gifting it to a kid so they don’t have to wait for you to figure it all out!

Le prix peut sembler un peu élevé, et selon moi, ça l'est un peu en effet. Ceci dit, nos deux filles adorent utiliser le Yoto. Les cartes sont variées et peuvent être utiles pour les enfants de plusieurs âges différents. De plus, même quand on ne met pas de carte dedans, il y a une "station de radio" si on veut qui fait jouer des chansons à longueur de journée, ce qui est très bien aussi.
