What diameter is the square chisel shank 3/4 inch or 5/8th inch? i need to know if these will fit the mortising attachment i have.

Hola, el kit contiene las brocas con el cuadrante de la misma broca (mecha cuadrada). La base del adaptador no lo compré y, creo que lo podré construir con platinas aceradas. Espero que no sea tan difícil, cuando lo termine les estaré contando como me fue.

I see people mention wrong shank size. Will these fit a craftsman drill press?

It should. Don't have a Craftsman drill press, but I thought that all drill presses had adjustable chucks. These bits are designed to be used with drill presses, so I can't imagine that Craftsman would let you down here. Your drill chuck may use a key to open and close it to your desired size. As with any specialty bit, be gentle & never force the bit. Insert it into the wood a short depth and pull it out frequently to allow the wood chips an escape so they don't get packed in too tightly and overheat the bit. I presume you are working with wood. I don't think these would fare well with metals. Mortising can be an art form. Enjoy them & make them last. They are a nice set.
