UPDATE 9/2/20I contacted Kingdo, and with the 1-year warranty, they did replace my charger at no hassle to me. They responded fairly quickly, and it only took a few days to get the new charger sent to me. And this charger is currently working, so hopefully it lasts!----------------------------------It worked for a few weeks, but it stopped after that. The charger lights up when plugged in, and when I plug my phone charger into the brick, it works. But the computer itself just doesn't receive a charge (but does with the original charger). So this was a disappointing purchase overall.

Power surge fried original power cord. This one works perfectly. Bought an extra one so I can have power in 2 spots w/o having to unplug from the desk space.

Microsoft should be ashamed of themselves. The charger they provided for my Surface Book 2 was horrible. It lasted two years but it was always way too hot (the burning type of hot if you touch it) while charging. After researching online, I saw that many people were having the same issue but in all the MS forums, they denied that it was a design defect.This charger however is cool to the touch and charges super fast. You can tell it's build to be premium and it has a 12-month warranty. Great product! If it wasn't for this product, I would have given up on Microsoft products altogether. Microsoft needs to take notes from these folks on how to create a great charger.

The case is a bit small, hard to pack the charger into, but I don't particularly mind that.

Same as other reviews.. this thing died last night. I've had it for about 4 months. The Surface Book 2 can drain it's power and fail to recharge properly when the GPU is being used. It's a well known design flaw. This puts a lot of strain on a charger. I went with this one after I lost my official charger, and I am pretty upset with it's lack of quality. First, it runs HOT.. like.. it will burn you if you touch it after hours of use. It runs so hot the case actually cracked open a bit and you can smell burning plastic when you put it away. Also, the charger cable connection quickly became bulged at the brick which generally means the inner cabling is starting to fray and become damaged. Frankly, this is just a terrible charger, and I think it is now 100% worth the extra money to buy the official MS one and at least have their customer service to back it up if it breaks after just 4 months of typical use...

Works as good as the original. The magnet connection is strong and stays connected. Longer cord that’s a plus high power to recharge batteries Does not get too hot.

Excellent quality product! Power cord to brick is over 5-feet long, allowing for placement of brick on desktop to accommodate moving SP anywhere on desktop without stressing power connector cable. Those velcro ties are great.Can't speak to the 106W, but with an i7, 1TB SSD, 4 USB drives (2 spindles), BT keyboard, pen, mouse and ear-buds, and a 39-inch flat screen on the display port, 106W can't hurt.And then, there's the packaging. Speaks volumes of the pride Kingdo has for their product. While I don't use the zippered carrying bag for the power brick and cords, I've made use of its interior zippered pocket and un-zippered pocket for carrying USB drives, dongles, ear buds and video cable. Very classy and very handy.

Needed this fast, for my Surface Book 2, so far it has worked really well. Have had it for a little over a month and seems identical to my old one that came with my machine. Haven’t experienced any issues with it thus far. Right out of the package and into the wall and I was up and running again in no time. I chose this one because it seemed to have the identical wattage as the power supply that came with my SB2.

It is almost the same as the Microsoft chargers. Works perfectly with my Surface Book 2, no connectivity issues, not cheap looking at all and the cable length is perfect. The carrying case is also a nice touch.
